  1. All the usuals, throwing out some new loves over the last couple of years: Joe Dart Tony Levin Daric Bennet
  2. This hypothetical criminal seems very well planned in selling a fake bit of kit, especially when noone wants to reveal the serial numbers of their gear anyway, so "no sorry" is just as believable an answer...
  3. I've never understood people's hang ups around serial numbers, trying to obfuscate them like it will somehow provide access to their bank details
  4. These are already crazy underpriced when new, £88 is an absolute steal for what this is
  5. A mint one of these is about as rare as hens teeth! I love mine, huge vintage tone when you dial in the tubetone, and the semi parametric EQ gives you all the controls you need to dial in the sound you want. Glwts
  6. Craig Blundell?

Same, my Japanese UV70 is a musical work of art and I would love more
  8. That's such a cool piece of bass art/history, GLWTS Out of curiosity, how did you come to own it?
  9. These Special Editions are gorgeous, congrats on picking one up!
  10. I didn't watch it, but I've worked with the Sugar Babes guitarist (Francois Fasano) and he is an absolute monster, and the rest of their band is equally talented
  11. Great units, the sounds you can get out of these are unrivalled
  12. I've heard that NAM can produce the most technically accurate models, even compared to Kemper and Neural DSP; it just suffers from the fact there is no dedicated hardware
  13. Cool, that's what I was hoping
  14. I have a vague recollection of this bass too, but I wonder if it was a Musicman? At least this is the one I was thinking of (and similarly difficult to Google) https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Music-Man-Reflex-Game-Changer-HH-Bass-Guitar-RN-Black/1AAS
  15. Is the Ratio knob on the 1176 knotched or free moving? I.e. can you have it somewhere between 20/All In, or are they 6 distinct positions?
  16. I've tried so hard to like the GK model, but it just doesn't work for me. I think I'll just have to admit I don't like the sound of GK amps! I'm glad to know other people can make it work. RE: the brightness of the Ampeg captures - 100% agree, it sounds to me really high in the upper registers. That said, when I've put them in the mix they sound fantastic; I ran a gig a few weeks back and had all the bands bassists going into the QC (I gave them the option to go DI from my TC rig, but I think they all wanted to have a play with the QC). With a patch consisting of a bit of compression and one of the Ampeg captures, I actually ended up boosting the high mids even more for some of the heavier numbers; it sounded absolutely monstrous! I even had a couple of people come up and ask me what the bass players were using because it sounded amazing!
  17. 7 months of problems caused by a loose cable, how painful!
  18. This is such a cool piece of Overwater history, I wish I had the funds/need to pick it up!
  19. I wish none of you lot had pointed out the lower horn, I thought they all looked quite good. Now I can't unseen it
  20. We bought a couple of guitar amps last year that both blew pretty much immediately. Andertons were suitably surprised and helpful in getting them replaced; I've never had a bad experience with them over the years!
  21. As with anything, I think we need to take anything Andertons says on these as they are the European distributor. Still, Cici and Lee both seem like standup people and I doubt they say anything that isn't true
  22. Andertons video up now for those interested
  23. I've only heard (both figuratively and literally) good sounds about the Digbeth range. Crazy low price point too for the sound
