1.
i've asked two people so far, neither of whom are bassists, and neither of them like the swirls. :)

i happen to love it, as to a lot of people here, obv......so i wonder if it's just a bassist thing....?
it must be a bassist thing, i personally love em but i showed my guitard of a father and he hated em...

whats he know tho...

2. similar situation to me except we never had a second guitarist in the first place so i make my bass fill out the gap left by not having one...

its an idea... re-work your sound to accomodate for not having the second guitar... will allow you to be heard more with out the noise of a second guitarist... i presume said guitar playing fool is the rythm...

if so then if you can't find another try follow my advice...

3. only been playing bout a year, and considering it only cost me 120 notes it's fantastic,

and for a bass in this bracket of the market the tone and over all quality is superb...

just recently fitted strap locks as well so the horns are more pointy...

:)

4. heres some pics of my baby

she's a Peavey Millenium BXP and onnly cost me £120 pounds with next day delivery...

Peavey Millennium BXP4 Bass Features

34 inch scale
4-string
Hard rock maple neck with rosewood fretboard
Basswood body with quilt top
String-thru-body
Two J-style, hum-canceling pickups
Case not included

Finish: Trans Black

it was cheap but it certainly does not sound it... the tone is fat and bassy and stunning played with pick or finger...

6. you wouldn't find a better deal on evil bay, i personall would take elom's offer...

the fact that you know its coming from a reliable source and that it will have been cared for by some one who knows how...

just my 2 pence tho...

7. i highly reccomend you put your 400 quid away, you can get a lovely bass for 120 quid brand new... delivered to your door the next day...

i've just purchased one of these and the neck is so slim, so getting back in to playing won't be difficult and the jazz style pickups give a awesome sound and its really light weight so no suffering for your art...
