1. Yes I heard those tunes this morning too, I had the radio up so loud it was loosening all the dirt out of the wheelarches, cracking stuff, and nice harmonica playing
2. Are these any good to you? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Schaller-4-in-a-line-fender-style-bass-guitar-tuners-/261404446455?pt=UK_Guitar_Accessories&hash=item3cdceb4ef7
3. Nice one Rasta, I was after that one for a cheap gigging bass, you beat me to it! Glad it's a pearl, look after it and enjoy it, as I would have!
4. I like this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/G-L-L-2500-Tribute-5-String-Bass-/261384419734?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item3cdbb9b996
5. If I was a good son and visited my mam more often I'd have loved to drop in and meet you Good on you for getting the gig, enjoy yourself and enjoy your gear , I'm sure it sounds fine Nice thread!
6. Lovely........very tidy job Hope you've got somewhere warm and dry to paint, I've been waiting months for the monsoon season to end Good luck Harry
7. Interesting idea, but I found the beagle video far more entertaining
8. Yeah, I've been googling it, shame, I'm after a 5 string neck to fit a G&L body. So unless it's extra wide and would convert into a 5er, then good luck with your sale mate and sorry for my ditziness!
9. Yes he did play sax with Japan
10. Nice looking project Maude, the headstock in particular looks much better. I am paused part way through a Variax guitar conversion, I found it a bit neck heavy, so I am building a new sapele body and neck to put the guts into, it will be an aluminium topped '69 style Tele thinline, inspired by one of these Nick Page guitars I also found it a bit odd not having any pickups on it so I am going to use a broken Tele bridge pickup and a cover from a P90 in the neck position as dummy pickups, to make it look a bit more like a guitar, if you know what I mean! Best of luck with yours, I shall be watching with interest

12. Treats his gear very well http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-P-Bass-Body-Ex-Vile-Imbeciles-Neils-Children-/111249974530?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item19e703e502 Have you seen his other items, bit of an oddball I think
13. My mother sent money to us all to buy our own presents as we won't be able to get up to the Promised Land till next half term, so I took advantage of the Xmas offers from Overloud and bought a copy of their excellent Markstudio 2........Merry Xmas mam !
14. Just got a copy of this excellent software reduced to £62 this xmas..................downloaded the fully working demo to try it first then got the full version as a pressie from mother (love you Wee Vi !) ...........seems you are entitled to use it on several computors too.........very impressed!
15. The Mackie Blackjack gets good write ups for the quality of its pre's, but I'm not sure that it has digital input for your RH750 output I have a pre owned TC Electronic Konnekt 8 which sounds very nice and has all the connectivity you need and it's Firewire, a DI from my BH250 sounds good too, I've heard the RH digital out is awesome I think Presonus and Focusrite have good pre's from what I've read of them I use a Rode NT1 for vocals and acoustic guitar and I intend to get an SM57 for miking a g****r combo, you might consider something from Red5 which seem very good value for money, I may even end up with some of their stuff as it won't be leaving the house, it won't need to be as sturdy as a Sure mic There's plenty of info and reviews to trawl through and Gearslutz is a good source of user reviews Best of luck with your endevours
16. Hi Gary mac............I think it would fit a Pro 1 ok, back in the 80's I had an identical one for my fretless Mk 1 (gone... ) and remember the indentations in the foam were from the 5 knob model, but the outline was pretty much identical. Nice project Beedster, I've used this place on ebayhttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wenge-Neck-Blank-Tonewood-Luthier-Guitar-/171188128092?pt=UK_Guitar_Accessories&hash=item27db9b895c for a wenge neck blank. As the top is bookmatched, you may be able to use one. Would Wal themselves be able to help you out with the electronics? I know you say you are not struck with the Wal sound but maybe a passive version would suit you and look original too?
17. Check this one out! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DR-30-Drum-Keyboard-Monitor-by-Gear4music-Faulty-RRP-85-/301033761409?pt=UK_MusicalInstr_Amplifiers_RL&hash=item461702aa81
18. That's lovely Andy, what finish did you put on it ?
19. Here's a link to the video http://www.finewoodworking.com/how-to/video/how-to-create-a-sunburst-finish.aspx I did a finish on a walnut build and after a disappointing try out with tru oil I opted for Rustins Plastic coat after seeing this one on the uk guitar builders site http://www.simnettguitars.com/home/archives/projects/redwood it's quite easy to get a good finish, it can be brushed on and then flattened and polished with their burnishing cream, quite tough too, similar product to their floor coating
20. Nice wood, you can't go wrong with Warmoth The round over will make it a bit tricky, I did a back dye on a Tele I built with a lovely redwood top, but I left the edges square so that I could mask it more easily. I think some people spray a coat of sealer over the edge so that dye cannot permeate into the wood, maybe you could try that....I would advise you to use decent masking tape too, cheaper stuff can sometimes end up causing real headaches There is a valuable video on YouTube of a bloke doing a back dye on a piece of maple, I think it was a green into yellow burst Best of luck with it
