Just a thought - if you added an MBX cab you'd have a 2x12 and maybe no need for a 2 x 10 ? This is an excellent little set up - use it myself for pub gigs. Surprisingly I find I have plenty of power. OK I guess unless you have to compete with a loudish drummer and /or guitarist.
pm sent cheers stef

well the old kitchen viper has spoken, said today that if I want to get a 2x10 combo, then something has to go so I have a gallien kruger mb150e/112 very good condition, sounds very good, have the manual, as to how much well I would rather trade even with a little cash from me, looking for a 2x10 combo, eden ect or something similar as the forum rule says I must put a price so how does £275ono sound cheers stef

hope that the vast knowledge of basschat can help a man in a bit of a quandry, the three 4 strings I have are all jazzes, one fender late sisxties and 2 squiers, one twenty years old,the other a mod fretless, also have a cirrus 5 stringer, so the amount I know about p basses I could write in capitols on a stamp, I have the chance to get a mexican fender p bass for £200 as a debt thats owed, have had a look and played it,it could do with a restring and setup but sounds better than I remember when I had one in the seventies, I know that the money is a good deal, what can I possibly move this on for if I find I still want to use my jazzes thanks in advance stef

just been going through some cd,s to put on my ipod, one song that I came across was she makes my day, how is he getting this sound I remember learning this when it first came out,and thought what a absolutly superb bass line, the more I listen to it to try and get that sound the more I like it for me it has to be one of the best, perhaps not to all tastes cheers stef

Longest and most stable relationship in my life
stef030 replied to kevin_lindsay's topic in General Discussion
started when I was 15,that was thirty eight years ago, stopped completly about 2001, cant tell you why,it just happened did not pickup a guitar, over a very short period all the gear went into a cupboard under the stairs, and thats where it stayed until september last year dusted of the jazz bass case, opened it up just to check it was ok ,had a little play,oh my bloody god what a complete arsewipe have I been over the next little while got all the stuff out, cleaned restrung setup, new leads, all that kind of stuff bought some more stuff, try to practice everyday, have realized that after 10 or so years of no playing my hands cannot do what they used to do with ease, now its all down to practice and relearning oh and some lessons when I can get it sorted, but after all that I will start to look for a blues or covers band soon,to go back and play pubs ect as thats what I loved doing most was playing live, anywhere anytime so if a old giffer like me can think like this, bring it all on -
53 and counting, you young chaps will learn that age is a wonderful thing you can say and do things you would not dream of in you 20s and 30s thats if you can remember what you were on about in the first place oh thats another thing, what who hello ten past five alz what oh bugger ha only kidding cheers stef me nah sorry officer
I haven´t tried one, but half the people at Talkbass.com seem to have one. You could start here : http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.p...highlight=mb210
have had my one for a while, more than impressed, with a 2x10 or 1x12 ext cab more that loud enough for small pubs built in chorus is quite warm and nice as well, still have the ampeg as a backup if needed, but in reality that will go I think cheers stef
