4. I don't suppose you'd be at all intersted in a trade for a trace elliot twin valve?
5. Its also great for students. Regardless of what people say I reckon us uni students probably have at least £50 spare a month (Im fortunate enough to be working mind ) but the idea of dropping £4-500 on a half decent bass would be 3 or 4 months worth of living. With this scheme its much more manageable
6.
Thought i should add some new photos
And as if by magic its like there was never a mistake made!
7. Oh, it might be worth adding that I'll trade this with my Mesa Boogie Scout 12" cab for the right combo. If its a combo it has to be lightweight and ideally 2x10
8.
Hey yeh the pups and the bridge/tailpiece and wiring. Im not really into sunburst instruments sorry. If it was white i would probably be all over it
Thats a shame! You could always sand it and spray it
9. Search for OBBM on this forum and shoot him a message or visit his website. I'm sure there will be a good 30 people after me that post the same thing! I'm pretty sure that XLR sockets for these things are more or less redundant now but it might still be a better option than just standard jacks. Again, ask OBBM
10.
Following the "death" of my old 90s Ampeg SVT USA head my back up rig for smaller gigs is currently looking like this;
your rigs always look so cool BB. Mighty preddy.

12.
Good work mate. It's got hints of Blur, Oasis and Radiohead to my ear. Felt the vocal needed to be a bit more above the track when it gets louder, but I'm listening on a laptop which doesn't help. Quieter two-part guitar parts dragged a bit and seemed a bit incongruent. Overall I think the track's powerful but would have more impact if reduced in length a little. If we sounded that good I'd be happy! C
Thanks for the input! I'd agree, at the moment the little guitar harmony bit is far too long and you do lose interest after a while. I shall pitch it to the guys that we shorten that bit
13.
I wonder if an enterprising basschatter would be able to add up an estimate of the value of gear sold through BC in say a month? Must be several thousands of pounds I reckon.
I'd say tens, really!
14. Hey man, Could you tell us exactly which parts are authentic Ric parts? Im guessing the pickups and the bridge? or are there more? I have a Fender 70's classic Jazz http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=111640 that I might be interested in trading?
15.
trade for a status eclipse?
Do you have pics?
16. Hey guys, Don't know if I really want to move my jazz on just yet but I thought I'd put it up just to see whats out there as far as a trade is concerned. I'm not looking for something inparticular (Although a Sterling series Stingray would be perfect!) so let me know what you've got! Not for sale, but if you want one Floyd Pepper is selling his for a very reasonable price
17.
Do you have a price, or is it trades only?
Trades only at this time I'm afraid
18.
This used to be mine, cracking amp! Wish I had something suitable to trade.
me too? I must also add this is really rather lightweight for an all tube head. Definitely lighter than a lot of FET amps I've owned.
19. Did you win them?!
20. Hey guys, I think I fancy a bit of a change, So this is up for trade! 115 watts, all valve. Very creamy tone. A bit beaten up if I'm honest, but functionally perfect! and been well looked after since I've had her. Looks like this Plenty loud enough to gig with if you've got either enough speakers or a band that appreciates there is a volume level less than ear-bleeding. Hit me with what you've got? I'm open to pretty much any ideas at the moment! Thanks!
21. If you're not having any success selling on these forums please feel free to use other mediums, I've taken the time to compile a small list of websites below which where designed for just such occasions. www.ebay.co.uk www.gumtree.co.uk www.ebid.co.uk www.yourlocalnewspaperhere.co.uk
22. old slapper makes a good point actually, the only reason I got my Jazz on finance was because it was the only bass i've ever picked up and instantly thought "yes, this is the one for me" Over a year later I'm still happily married to her! Anyone who knows my previous gear list will vouch for the fact thats quite something!
23. Aye, Ive used it twice, once for my jazz and once for a cajon. No problems what so ever. I know what your all getting at about debt but for some people budgeting in an extra monthly bill is much more feasible than a huge initial outlay
24. T-racks is a great quick-fix mastering plug in that might be a good place to start Chris, There is a lot of automation on it that will, generally speaking get you 60% of they way there. I found it useful for working out if I was heading in the right direction with my mastering techniques
25. My bass is modeled off that one Well, not that one specifically, but its made me happy!
