1. After a ridiculous amount of cunning plans between the two of us we finally managed to get the deal done on my big cab last week. Communication was excellent throughout and I genuinely hope I get to do business with him again!
2. Its out in selby! I didn't realise it was that far out of york, mybad!
3. Why not pop down and see your favorite basschat mod in action eh? Www.myspace.com/thelocalsblackpool
4. its only an inch and a half shallower than the BF Vintage, although thats ported. Would anyone in the know know if it would be worth Paulus playing with some porting?
5.
Are all the MB range built in the USA or have GK got into Far East production?
Im pretty sure these ones are built in the far east, they really do seem like bargains for what they are!
6. Just wanted to bump this quickly, 27 downloads and no thoughts?
7.
My POD X3 means I have a warehouse full of amps and cabs at my disposal
And none of them sound quite right? I have 1 amp and two cabs. A big one and a little one! ^_^
8.
needless to say it will be small output for large retail price tag. We will be seeing these on the for sale section on here in due course if they go on mass production just like the little bastard. Save yourself the bother now and dont buy one.
If it sounds good it might be useful for someone wanting a nice home/studio setup? They're definitely filling a niche with the small valve models.
9. I really need to try some of the new ashdown gear. Its definitely pulling my attention looks wise.
10.
This is the Heritage thingie that's limited to 50 units worldwide at $5k each, right? I don't see the point in even attempting to promote this. Especially by spamming.
I still really want one
11.
They are always rosewood boards, as apparently maple boards didnt look right, so they dont offer it. Personally I preder rosewood, so thats fine. The neck is painted then satin finished. I admit this is intriguing me as to whether I will like it, but apparently it is very smooth and comfortable. The main postive comment I get is that when you plug it in, the tone is a monster!
I found the neck to be something I didnt pay attention to while I was playing, and thats how a neck should be IMO! I really wish I had the chance to have my old Bongo back. I wasnt very mature as a bass player when I had it and I just dont think I did it justice I do however remember that the 4 band eq was hard work. Loads and loads of good tones on tap but you have to work pretty hard to get a really great tone.
12. Christ I miss my Bacchus This is beautiful man, dont do anything stupid...!
13. I've got some serious Roscoe GAS after seeing that one for sale here
14.
Was that the 3G or 3GS? I suspect i'd be lucky to get £200 for mine but still checking!
Ahh yeah good point. I think it was the 3GS, but I'll check tomorrow for you
15. A friend of mine just sold his second hand iPhone for £300 edit to say he had almost 40 offers in one day on gumtree! He had to take it down within 48 hours.
16. Lets not get ahead of ourselves guys. Don't stoop down to that level in future please!
17. I love the feel of a well setup bass with a super low action, thats for sure! However, there's something about a passive jazz with the action high that just sounds so ballsy and feels so manly!
18. I'll give you ten litres of petrol for it?
19. I dont think I'm ever going to be cool enough to rock something like that but it really is an awesome job!
20.
i hope news will still be posted on the site news section of the forum.
Absolutely
21. Christ! I'm really glad people are realising that super lightweight heads arent everything for everyone. This and the Hartke LH series are really helping out "first rig" buyers and upgraders alike!
22. I only have a wee twin valve! I dont like being in here with all the bigger boys
23.
For software, I'd recommend Reaper. It's very cheap and easy to use. The demo version lets you decide if you like it, and doesn't restrict features. Plus it's a very small download. www.reaper.fm
+1
