I still think I'd consider these a whole lot more if they had a better name/logo. I know it shouldn't matter but these things really nag at me.

This might end up in me buying a P bass... I've been GAS free for a year now! God damnit.

Another plus one for a nice Yamaha TRB here - It feels least like a big chunky six string of all the 6 strings I've played, if that makes sense!

Hmm - Good poll Rich! I own the Classic Mexican series and love it to pieces. Its my bass and I really can't see myself letting it go (which for me is a big step!). Although, If money was of no object then I think I'd shoot for a sadowsky. I played one once and it really blew me away.

I was going to add something constructive to this debate but my mind turned red and all I want to say is this; Lauren Laverne is a tuffing fwat.

Its far from perfect, I think my bridge is slightly mis-aligned, The actions higher than most basses (though thats more preference, it will go a little lower) It was poorly shielded when I got it. But all of these things mean nothing when im playing the **** out of her and she never misses a beat - always sounds massive

I think you should count yourself blessed bubinga, You have "your" amp sound. Something a lot of us might never achieve in our lifetime!

I ofetn use the hi-hat to determine when a note should end...? Especially for our slower numbers. I dont know if its a rule of thumb or just the way our band works out, but its often the case where the bass drum "opens" the note and hihat "closes" it.
