IME, I’ve got a better tone recording with the Ampeg SVX plugin than with my old all valve rig (and that was in a pro studio). Doesn’t really mean a lot, but for me it just exemplifies how good the SVX plugin is. For a live situation there’s nothing that can beat an Ampeg trouser flapper
+1 that plugin is awsome.
2. Very smooth Deal, Great comms. 10/10

5. Hey, its me again! Just keeping the economy going, you know how it is. I dont really mind if this stays or goes, its a beautiful [s]piece of furniture[/s] instrument! I just think i quite fancy a *gulp* Fender! Ive come to realise that they are just so great for recording. So yeah. Mind you, if you have anything else, or want to make a cash offer, dont be afraid to ask! I'm also very interested in computor studio equipment, at the moment Monitors and Mics are fair high up on my list of things i need! Anyway, i hope Steve doesnt mind me using his Picture. Bartollini pickups and 3 way EQ Hipshot bridge and tuners Wenge neck Beutiful Ash body (puts warwicks to shame this one) Very Light! Go on, do your worst New just in, will sell for 325.
6. You'll be dissapointed now you've heard the Schroeder. Unless you really hate the sound i'm gonna have to tell you to suck it up... If he really did send you one and it didnt make it (which im inclined to believe due to his wonderful customer service history) then im not surprised he's suggested getting one locally. I really dont think it's "in other words f*** off". Although i havnt seen the context. You said it yourself, loads of people are interested already. Dont make a big mistake!
7. Although i wouldnt have nearly as much to bring this year i'd love too come down and have a play, im sure i'll meet a few new people and a few old basses!
8.
I use native instruments guitar rig. Some of the presets are awesome.
the Citrus LP Lite Crunchy preset has got to be a standard for rhythm guitars all over the world!
9. I've always used Peavey reValver, Its an absaloutly stunning bit of kit - You can change the resistance and characteristics of every piece of every valve in any head, or build your own! Looks good though, and for free, what can i say? Oh, ive also done a little recording with the ampeg plug in, I cant believe how good it is actually, i'll see if i can get the recording up. I'm a bit of a VST geek
10. He's only in chorley? We dont have any talent up here?! I might nip over to see how your doing! ^_^

I also made a pretty penny selling all my Kyosho and Autoarts
13. thats interesting, will drive three TC cabs but only 2 "competative" cabs. I suppose that means theyve tested down to 3.whatever ohms but only with their own cabs?

16. Stuff like this that really irritates me as far as law goes. I can clearly see why theyve done it but a bit of initiative wouldnt go a miss.
17. Im sure the people involved know the risks and whatnot. I mean half the people on here send hundreds, sometimes thousands of pounds to people hoping that they receive an instrument - without some trust we'd all be buggered from the go!
18. 28 is definately not a milestone Stuart! Your wife must be dillusional... i want one! (the bass or the dillusional money throwing wife, either is good for me!)
19.
Unfortunately I think you’re going to run into a number of legal issues here. First, to be classed as a small lottery/raffle the prize fund (purchased or donated) cannot exceed £250; and second, all tickets must be sold on the night at an event or single location. Territorially/geographically I would doubt the standing of an internet forum to meet the definition of location. Private lotteries/raffles, with a more sizeable value/prize fund, must either be sanction by the Gamming Board or the relevant local authority (further there may be a requirement to notify the Police). With respect to these lotteries/raffles tickets may be sold in advance, but the value of the ticket is limited – and the current valuation exceeds the statutory defined maximum face value of a ticket. (There are further requirements with respect to the issue and format of the tickets, which would raise further matters.) Theses issues, and a number of others aside, the primary issue you will face is that a lottery/raffle cannot be run for private gain. Again, I would have my reservations that a raffle organised along these lines would not be construed as being for private gain.
I'm not sure this even has to be called a raffle... We're just pledging money to this man and hes offering a draw for a bass at the end of it...
