1. Its the kind of gadgetry i really think i should need but just dont! Argh!
2. Okay, im gonna get cracking on a few now. Im just going to keep them as drum loops and make them a bit longer, it annoyed me for hours trying to work out how to loop the small clips!
3. I can make some loops for ya, i'll get on it tonight
4. - Or possibly have a "professional" section to save all us begginers from their Jazz!
5. Im the same in that i frown on it... I dont even know why! Im a born and bred bassist though, My hand cramps up something horrible when i try and pick play. Such a shame as sometimes you just need that tone.
6. Sorry Steve! Just realised i havnt given you any feedback, But yes, im happy to echo all the above. My only complaint is that he's a better bassist than me. Bit uglier mind...
7. B Fest up in Cumbria was massive and a great time last summer! They're pretty active on facebook so look 'em up
8. With my Bacchus Jazz bass and Schroeder Rig I used to cut the Bass back to about 10 o'clock, Boost the high mid a touch and run the VPF at about 10 o'clock. Theoretically i think that should be the equivilent of just a boost of treble, but it doesnt sound the same!
9. *Starts Frantically writing to Mission asking if theres any hope of bass cabs!*
10. I doubt they'll go up much, but itll be enough to put them into used MIM fender territory i rekon.
11.
Hi Marty, you'll find your bass a lot easier to sell if you take some pics & put them up in your original post. Also, is your price in Euros? (This is mainly a UK-based site, you see.) Best regards, Rich.
Your like one big warm cuddle!
12.
I'd previously thought that they'd carry on with independant designs, but it seems without Ernie Ball they couldn't carry on. Pity, as the last generation of active Ray copies they made (MM22 & 32) were excellent basses. I almost bought one myself! Rich.
I think im going to grab a Tony Levin before they go up to the next price range, which im sure they will!
13. i vaguely remember something about MusicMan taking back the rights to all their designs? OLP are nothing without MM!
14. It was Traded a few days ago. Great bass it was though! Steve has it now so go to him if you fancy any opinions! i loved it but since leaving the band wanted something a little less challenging to play (purely the fact it was a sixer, im more comfortable on fives)
15.
I take fastidiously good care of my gear and these have always been stored in humidity controlled mic lockers, in hard cases with regularly replaced silica gel bags over the capsules. J
Sad Bastard though he might be - he's not lying!!
16. And heres a public thanks to Lemmywinks for being so helpful! If anyone is at all interested in an opinion on the cab shoot me a PM next week sometime - The amount of gear ive gone through i should be able to give you a helpful insight!
17. Just done a Part Ex with Steve, Although he tried to swindle me i think i can forgive him Great to meet another basschatter and highly recomended
18.
Damnit. Buying this is becoming a better and better idea.
Because the cabs used to be mine? I'll sign them if you like
19.
I have taken it to band rehearsals and no-one noticed the 'whistle', not even me, and I was listening for it and waiting for someone to complain about it! But when there are other people in the room chatting you don't hear it. I've set it up at venues and no-one noticed it (it doesn't get louder as you turn the output up). I only hear it when practicing at home on my own in a silent room. I wouldn't recommend this for bedroom practice because of this, but any public performance isn't affected by it at all. You can only hear it when you stop playing (in a very quiet room) when you play you cannot hear it at all. Again I'm only selling this since I've just bought another amp so this is just going to be sitting around. Even though I'm very tempted to keep it as a back-up. So if anyone just wants the cabs and leaves me with the amp I'll not be disappointed.
Lemmywinks has a superfly and the whisteling is only noticable when you have tweeters on full (barely noticable at all on non-horn loaded cabs) and as playbass says, doesnt get louder when you turn it up. And i believe these cabs used to be mine, they really kick for such lightweights
