1. Check the Dimensions before you do anything, but for weight and tone myself and many others would tell you to look at the Epifani 310. Dont limit yourself to twelves, many a tech will tell you its more about the speaker design and cabinet volume than the speaker size. Good luck!
2. (Better Pics to Follow!) Yes mate.
3. Im going to give some advice based on what i'd do with the money in your position, So yeah! Firstly, I wouldnt buy new. Full stop! Theres a forum with gear that is in perfect condition for half the price right here! I think for the sound of all the artists you've mentioned would require a 4x10 or similar. Obviously wouldnt discount others and its not as linear as it used to be (bright 4x10s and muddy 15's are a thing of the past!) but still a starting point. I would probably try and find a used Trace Elliot Rig for your used budget. A 410 and one of the 300 watt heads will be ample, And if you shop carefully you could probably get one with the on board compression etc for your price. I really dont want to be the guy thats raving on with "you should buy what ive got" but in all honesty, I cant stand the normal Trace gear, but i rekon with the really prominent high mids that they produce you should cut through really well, and i doubt you'll struggle for volume. Even This would probably give you tone for days
4. Merton does all this mean theres going to be a V-Type Cab knocking about shortly... Frick.
5. Id love it i really would! But alas, I dont know how id get it and ive jsut bought one heavymother licker of an amp. Have a bump!
6. Another +1 for the GK. And again, if you can afford to go for the 1001RBII you wont be dissapointed!
7. I still think a trusted mediator is the way forward, you cant lose! If it all goes tits up mediator just sends your money back!
8. Well! All those artists have quite a clean punchy sound. So i would perhaps suggest Gallien-Krueger or SWR. Both i Believe will come in a above your budget though. If you could get hold of it i think THIS would be fantastic!
9. Is there any chance you could both send the money/bass to a respected member and pay a bit extra for him/her to send it on once both are recieved? If you can find someone willing im sure that would work! Have you spoken to this guy on the phone? If im nervous about a deal i find thats the way forward.
10. Good too meet a new member shredder, I hope you enjoy your stay! Firstly, there is an Amps and Cabinets Forum where you'll probably get more replies, But not to worry! Im sure a mod will be along to sort that out any second now! ^_^ Secondly, It might be worth telling us what kind of music you are playing, What bassists tone you like, and probably most importantly what your budget is! Anyway, Good luck!!

16. Plus one on the minted thing. I find not removing sunglasses and having a beautiful girl going "i dont think its as pretty as your Ritter" helps.
17.
Cheers again Ste. Could I please point out that this venue is ON the A1, and opposite an airfield !!
Is there a suicide smiley?!
18. Well done for keeping it prefeesional man, after three times i really think i'd have apologised politely to the bride and groom then f***ed off! This is a load of twonk really, i mean say a band plays three hours a week, thats under 5% that some whiney old bastards cant hack. What would they do if they lived near a railway or an airport?! Again, Good job!
