1. Well it looks like us basschatters share similar tastes! I run a C.A Azure 540 into mission M33's! I love cambridge gear, have a wee bump.
2.
You want to get that headstock removed from yer' chin first mate
Sorry whats that? Your a sub?
3.
More zing really? I have to say with the DHA I have I dont think I've had more zing than I do now. My markbass sounded muddy in comparison, and the top end with bright engaged is too zingy for myself. Maybe Im thinking of zing in a different way. What head or preamp do you use instead? Sug
The kind of zing you get when you mute a pop around the 12th fret and get that "Shazap" noise?
4. Just prised his Lakland 55-01 away from him, Lovely chap, pleasure to deal with
5. just want to say thats a fantastic picture legion! And theres an ashdown EB at the studio i frequent that makes a boom upon startup. no squeaks though.
6.
Thats pretty cool, and the more good stuff i hear about DHA the more interested I get!
Ive recently got rid of the DHA, i just prefer more Zing in my sound. However i think if i had an ampeg stack and a P bass it would be a different matter! Full recommmendation
7.
Do you mean you contacted someone about your problem, then fixed it yourself, and THEN heard back from the repairer?
Essentially yes I ended up calling dave hall himself (it was a DHA pre) and asking if it was safe to have a poke round. And yes aswell, the guy wanted £50 just to work out what the problem was. But if thats general ballpark fair enough, i really had no idea what the "going rate" was, just seemed a bit high!
8. I had a problem with a pre amp i sold not to long ago (lucky enough to have been able to fix it myself, it was only a silly thing) Anyway, He only just got back to me (appears he was away on holiday) And ive been informed that it would be £50 to identify the problem?! Im lucky enough not to need to shell out now, but can that really be right?! Hmm, i know it aint a cheap business but that just seemed a bit rediculous to me!
9. Yup sound guy and sound deal. sawted!

I think it was tony i dealt with for a MM pickup a while ago! If it was comms where fantastic and everything was sound. thanks!
11. If your local I have a hartke 2200pro (2x12+horn) cab and an asdhown mag300. The hartke is really well regarded round these parts, and the ashdown just does its job very well! You can have them both for £300 if my first buyer pulls out.
12. Hey russ, Im in an elctro/metal situation myself, so i have a barbarian AND a thumping robot to compete against and it sure as hell aint easy! What i would suggest is to get 2x 210's stacked on there sides and get the cabs as close to ear level as you can. Maybe three little aggie 112's? Getting the speakers close to your ear really makes the world of difference IME!
13.
Is it the 360mm depth (or 460mm?) How deep are the lids? (ie can I get a 420mm deep power amp in?)
To the tape measure batman! Its 460mm deep without the lids on, so it should be fine. The lids themselves are a fraction under 70mm deep. so you should be fine.
14. Yes, ive done a number of deals on here now, just a quickie to let you know im safe!
15. no more than about £15 i reckon. Finding a box could be a different matter!
16. Grab the eden Nemesis thats on ebay atm! Great tone and wont let you down!
17. Im just thinking, if i cant get a hold of a second hand LMKII how loud are these little fellas? I mean, i know its not quite as easy as saying, yes it'll be this loud. but ill be running it through a 12" and a 15", Will the volume be comparable to a LMKII running through 1 8ohm 15"? (cos thats bloody loud!) I could really save some dough if thats gonna be the case. and its only going to be for stage monitoring. we always have pa. opinions?
18. I unno, call it £40? its this one, Flightcase warehouse Got a few small holes in it where stuff has been tie-wrapped in (only a couple of mm wide.) Yeah. long shot!
19.
Oh it will be If I could afford it, yes! Wait and see Stephen, sorry for the thread hijack!
Aha not at all! Business has been done, consider this the sit down with a pint after a tough deal!
20. What would we do without basschat eh!
21.
They get the amp, you get a threeway? Interesting!
chance would be a fine thing!
22. Sold! In what could possibly be basschats first three way deal!
23. Id spend it on things that never get round to being bought. Gig bags, hardcases, rack cases that sorta thing!
