For sale is my Bergantino ae410 just because I'm simply not using it now. This was the original Jim Bergantino neodymium 410 one cab solution, which he only stopped making when the neodymium shortage sent the price of the drivers stratospheric. When last listed in Bass Direct this cab was £1000 and the cover was £70 more. The cab has no dents, scratches or dings, and works perfectly, its in exceptional condition, has been gigged rarely and handled with kid gloves at all times, its been stored in a non-smoking household in its cover at all times. It comes with the Bergantino cover (which has a tiny 1cm tear in it and a couple of signs of wear on the seams), the very rare post-sale metal protective corner kit (not fitted) and the equally rare Bergantino finish repair kit (unused) are also included. As I said I'm only selling because it hasn't seen any use at all for a good while since I moved over to Barefaced. Its still one of the very best 410 lightweight solutions ever made. I'm looking for £700 collected or we can arrange to meet if you are reasonably close to Brighton - pm me to discuss The original Bergantino blurb went like this:- Model AE410 specifications:

•4 x 10" Custom Neodymium Driver with 7oz magnet and vented pole pieces
 •high intelligibility 1" tweeter
•custom phase - coherent crossover with tweeter level control
 •power handling - 800 watts rms
 •frequency response: 40hz - 18khz
 •sensitivity: 103db 1 watt/1 meter
 •2 x 1/4" and 2 x neutrik connectors
 •impedance: 4 ohms
 •dimensions: 22 3/4" W x 25 1/2" H x 15 1/2" D - 55.9cm x 64.8cm x 39.4cm
 •weight: 62lbs/28 Kgs
Photos to follow....

7 piece band, no singers all original material In Sussex we get between 300 and 420 a gig in pubs In London we don't go for less than 450

Old topic I guess, but here's a video of my band recently with the audio recorded 2 channel out front with a Zoom H4n sat on the top of the bar's old stylee glass shelf about 8ft from the PA hard over to the left PA cab (hence the guitar is a little quiet being panned right). Obviously thats not where the video was recorded from The entire 7 piece band goes through the 2 FR800s via a Behringer XR18 - although most of the bass guitar is in fact coming from my rig I still put a little through FOH so I don't end up with too much on stage. Its a tiny stage but a long throw to the far wall, we get a lot of comments about the sound quality from all the way to the back of the room https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPecEhgx7Go Apologies for the cock-ups
And I completely forgot to mention that the PA was a pair of Barefaced FR800s, which sounded absolutely lush.
Yeah, they kill it, very clean, very loud, the video doesn't really do them justice, but there was nowhere to set up a better audio recording unfortunately, the streamed links do better for audio, but the video is a tad lo-fi.

Thanks very much for coming along chaps, glad you enjoyed it, really need to get some more gigs up in that there London, punters are really enthusiastic for something a bit different! Apparently we got streamed live too, didn't find out till later, here's what the streamed video was like:- https://www.facebook.com/emma.stoffer/videos/10155338319500757/ https://www.facebook...55338347350757/

We like to fill the venue ☺ I have gone as loud as 3 o'clock on the master volume, but the input gain is set quite conservatively. That's with a 500w mark base sa450 and a barefaced big twin II Yes it's loud, but it fits the mix just right and sounds lovely I don't put any through the pa, but the drums, keys, guitar, trumpet and trombone are....

Musicality Big ears Time

Guitarist stands opposite his cab in our rehearsals He isnt always the culprit, horns are very very loud and everyone tends to play at a level to match. I record everything, absolutely always, we have 4 years of rehearsals on file, if we ever want to revisit an idea its easy to find. So volume in the room isnt so big a deal, as long as people are wearing ear plugs, because the recordings are on the button, no arguing with them at all.... We are much louder at gigs though, given a suitable venue, do like to fill the room with the funk after all
Once the JoeMeek FloorQ entered my signal chain I've not once thought of trading it out. If I had to live with only 1 pedal from my board, the FloorQ would be it. It's a bit pricey for a stomp box, but well worth it imo.
I have used a rackmount version of this compressor a lot for recording bass, and I love it, great choice!
