I am selling this wonderful 1880 German Flatback 3/4 size double bass. I have owned her for the past 4 years and there is some history available together with a valuer's opinion. She plays beautifully and projects really well in orchestral and jazz settings (I have used her in both). I currently have her set up for jazz playing with helicore strings but I have used her for orchestral work in this set up with no problem. Reluctant sale - I have upgraded to a more expensive bass and have to sell to recoup some of the cost. Realistically priced at £4k - an ideal bass for an advanced student to move up to or for a professional looking for a good gigging instrument. Comes with a soft case/bag.
