    I shall let you know by the end of the weekend, hopefully! I've had a 8" patch lead I bought recently be replaced, but I think I can fix the broken one, so may end up with two, thus not needing another little lead.

    Looks lovely yep! However, the chopping it down is somewhat regretful. I've got an empty 15" cab coming from another BCer to drop the speaker in, and already have a rack unit for the head part, so I'll see how it goes!

    Speakers aren't new nope, all original The small combo is a beaut, sounds lovely, but just not powerful enough for me now. The green one doesn't cut through much =/ I think that may be to do with the volume of the new cab, which may've gone tits up and thus out of 'tune'. Sucks a bit really, but its a nice amp otherwise!

Originally looked like this: But due to how stupidly heavy and obtusely large it was, not to mentioned how beaten up it was, I made a new house for it myself, like so.. And this is mine too, which I'm trying to sell!

    Cracking bloke to deal with! Just bought a superfly cab off him, and all went very smooth with packing and the courier arranging between us...couldn't have asked for better Oh, and he even threw in the Roqsolid cover for it...chuffed

    So after upgrading my rig via the fantastic members of this forum, my trusty bass combo is up for sale. The sound on this is absolutely lovely, and has served me well the 6/7 months I've been using it. Its a Trace Elliot 712 SMC, combining a 12" Trace speaker and GP7 amp head. Spec: 7 band EQ 130watt output 12" Trace Elliot Speaker Input & Output volume dials Passive & Active inputs pre shaping ew graphic eq dual band compression and dial effects loop balanced DI xlr output 6mm line out 2x speaker outs (@4ohm min) As I said, I've had this around 6 months, and its in pretty much brand new condition. Its been VERY well looked after. The amp part was recently (1 month ago) serviced and overhauled, so it runs like a beaut! Perfect for practises and definately in smaller gigs, its got a really full sound. I'm looking for £200 for it, and I'm based in South Wales if you want to collect.     They're all wired properly, I made sure of that. Using CTS 6mm solid shaft pots. All the pots work fine (volume and tone). I'll check the string change method when they arrive. I'll try swapping the pickups around later on with the strings being as they are on the bass, then report back.

    I'll be buying a new set of strings anyway to try out, but just because I need to also, so I'll pick up a set of DRs. The open E is louder than any other open string (or any fretted notes on any string for that matter). So if I do runs around the fretboard, any fret on the E sticks out like a sore thumb. The pickups are pole type (spd-3s). If the string change doesnt work, I'll try swapping around the pair, to see if it happens on another string. Also tried the muting thing (so playing in a somewhat staccato fashion on every string) and the E still stands out.
