  1. Well, I do not have much information about the bass yet, I only saw a couple of pictures. Good news is that the current owner lives directly in the area, so I have the possibility to try it out... once I am healthy and out of home again, because right now I have the flu. Thanks for all your feedback, pals, it really helps a lot to a vintage bass ignorant like me.
  2. Good morning Vietnam, everyone. I will be trying out soon a vintage Fender Jazz with a 1967 body and a 1969 neck. It is not the first time that I see something like that, just for instance in this very forum. It makes sense, of course: Back in the days someone may have bought a 1967 bass, had a problem with the neck (or just did not like it) and replaced it after a couple of years. That is the way it possibly happened. But I really wonder if it would be also a possibility that some parts of the bass were made in 1967 and left the factory as a fully built bass after two years. Could that be a possibility? It sounds unlikely to me, but I really do not know about the way companies like Fender deal with stocks and parts.
  3. Still available indeed. No Rush, though, I love this bass.
  4. Now selling for 2700 euro. Nearing the "half the retail price" level.
  5. Pricedrop: I will let this one go for 2800 euro. The straplocks would not be the Schaller from the pictures and the case would be a good quality-good condition foam semirigid case (similar to the Sadowsky ones) instead of the Hiscox STD-EBS from the original pics. You can find two pics of the new case as follows:
  6. Due to surplus in my bass inventory I will listen to reasonable offers for this one. Please take into account that the retail price for this bass borders the 5000 Euro, as per Adamovic pricelist + options. And the bass is in excellent overall condition.
  7. That's a real beauty. Thanks, Brexit, for keeping temptation away... GLWTS
  8. Absolutely agree. This bass needs to remain the way it is. Pity for the brexit, maybe we could reach a deal with my Adamovic otherwise. By the way, greetings to Devon from a former University of Exeter student.
  9. Thanks, fiatcoupe432. They are indeed great basses, as good as it gets. Great sound and extremely easy to play.
  10. I used to have one (fretless version). And I miss it indeed.
  11. Yes, I know. But both basses are practically the same year. Those parts could have been the same bass from the start, even if they actually weren't. I understand your reasons. But I can't help thinking that this instrument would deserve to continue the way it is now. Whatever the case, GLWTS, man 👍
  12. It is your bass, of course. But the idea of separating this bass in chunks makes me pretty upset.
  13. Really sorry for your physical issues, HZ. Health comes always first, all my best wishes in that regard. Great bass, needless to say.
  14. This is definitely a long shot, due to geography. I am offering for sale my Paesold 4/4 german double bass. A german made, high quality full size bass (it really makes justice to the brand) in very good condition. I don't know first hand the specs of the instrument and I am no good with woods, but according to the website of Paesold they are as follows: PA 590PF-B Roderich Paesold Bass shaped Laminated, fingerboard and tailpiece of solid ebony Tyrolean brass machine-head It is a laminated bass (a solid wood Paesold may have a five digits price tag), with an adjustable bridge, solid like a column. And, as already mentioned, in very good condition. I have the original invoice and the retail price was 3000 euro in 2007. I am selling it for 1700 euro (ca. 1500 pounds as of today). It has the original Jaeger gigbag and I would throw in an original RC Williams Bass Buggie in perfect condition for an extra 85 euro. Just like this one: https://www.bassico.eu/minibass/k.c.-strings-bass-buggie-bass-buggy/8837-0-0-8837-0.htm?cat=1131&produkt=255&l=EN And of course the elephant in the room: the bass is in Bilbao, North of Spain, and sending this instrument with a carrier would not be a good idea. Therefore this would only work in case someone is close enough to Bilbao to organize the handing out of the instrument (eventually establishing a mid-way place to meet). I can barely imagine this good fellow going to, just say, Stockholm... Anyway, if anybody is interested please just let me know and we discuss it. 15. Please substitute "Deserve" for "Need"
  16. I was thinking the same thing. Quite a surprise.
  17. Not only your heart is on tears right now. MLD's bass has been one of my standards on bass-beauty since I saw Melvin in a concert with Lee Ritenour here in Bilbao, rather long ago. Tonite I won't sleep properly. Curse you, Reiner!! 😭
  18. Price drop to 2,300 euro. For a 4,000 euro bass. Very rare to find second hand and in very good condition. 1,915 pounds for UK buyers.
  19. A day without playing the bass is like... just the kids.
  20. I have received some messages asking about the scratch on the top. The moment they tell you about it, you see it. The moment you forget about it, it is like it does not exist. It doesn't get bigger, it doesn't affect the playability in the least and visually it really does not catch your attention beyond the short distance. If you look at the pics you only really see it clearly in the close-up. Other than this nick the bass is in wonderful condition. And at a great price for this brand and model, just check out the market place and you can see it.
