1. Yep, thanks Wonky. They sure kick it out
2. Welcome back! I remember the I Shoudl Coco avatar!
3. Hi all, I'm moving on my Ampeg B100R combo. These were made around late 90's-early 200o's I believe, and this one was made in USA. Cops the B15 tone very well and despite being solid state, it has a valvey fullness to it. Doesn't break up when pushed and I've used it with no problem against 2 guitars and drums. If you're in a super loud band you'll struggle, but for practice and average volume level gigs, you'll be fine. Great responsive EQ WITH bass Mid and Treble, but also has Ultra High, Ultra Mid and Ultra Low switches which really help shape your sound. I would put condition about 8.5/10. The tolex is in great nick, however there's a slight fraying of the grill cloth on the front. It's quite hard to see, but I have tried to show it in the pictures. She's fairly heavy, easily manageable by one person of course, but I'd prefer not to ship it due to weight. I'm in Lancaster, but travel between here and Nottinghamshire with work quite frequently, so if you're somewhere in the North, I'm sure we could meet to swap. Would be looking for a bit of petrol money if you're out the way, but we can sort that nearer the time. I'm looking for [s]£250[/s] £200 please. Not after any trades thanks, any questions, please ask. Few pics, but if you want anything specific, please ask and I'll try my best to help out. Cheers Chris This next pic has a light shining on it to show the fray in the cloth, but it doesn't look as bad as this in real life. 5. Haha, not bad for £250!
6. Hi all, In a moment of feeling flush and in need of a huge bass cabinet last weekend, I bought this on eBay. The seller lived pretty local and he dropped it off this afternoon. It's a replica of a late 60's/early Ampeg SVT 810, also known as the straight back. He built it himself using an original 810 to get measurements etc. Looks a beast with a pretty cool flowery patterned tolex and Fender grill cloth. Worst bit is that I don't have a flipping and to run through it, and probably won't until the new year, but it's nice to look at until then... Moves easily on it's castors, but needed to be flipped on its side tot get in the front door - might have some trouble moving this bad boy. So despite having absolutely no need for it and not playing in a band, I finally have the wall of sound that an 810 gives! Here's pics... 7. Stunning. I love that Matamp font too on the front panel...just too classy! GLWTS
8. mmnn don't tell me things like that....
9.
Happyjack has one, its a GT120 And if you really want to own a GT200 you could own mine. Tis for sale http://basschat.co.u...-matching-8x10/
Ahh yes, Happy Jack rings a bell now! Yeah I saw you were selling up Ste, tis a shame. I'd love the gt200 just to say I've owned one, but at 200watts clean and 300ish dirty, it might not be the best amp for my needs as I'm going for diiirrrtttyyyy. Saying that, I just bought an 810 last night and I'm not even in a band, so 'right amps for me' is just a load of bollocks Good luck with it Ste, would Matamp not have it back off you as a demo amp?
10. Speaking of owning Matamps, did someone on here have a GT100 in a bass spec? Seems to ring a bell but not sure who had it.
11. Looks superb 1970. One day I'll own a GT200!
12. I'm probably well down the list, but registering my interest in the Marathon too!
13. Keep coming back to look at this one. What a beauty! Good luck
14. Haha no way! In that case, this definitely sounds like a beast!
15. Had one of these a few years back...same grill cloth and tolex too. Sounded a beast. Best of luck with the sale!
16. My G-3 fits in a Protec Contego. It's snug on the body edges, but padded enough to be well protected and no risk of damage
17. She plays bass for Emiliana Torrini which makes her instantly great!
18. It sucks waiting for things only for them to not arrive. It's not much consolation, but when I check the tracking and see it's at the local depot and charges are due, I just drive out, pay them and pick it up there and then. They're usually open til about 7 on a weekday and means I get the item quicker.
19. Never fit them, but been looking at them. You need to chisel out a couple of bits on the headstock to get them to fit - did you do this? The Gotoh Resolites are the same look, but don't need any chiseling. Was it a Fender style headstock theywere being fitted to? The Fender tuners are made by Gotoh so they should be decent enough quality.

Fearful 15/6

Looks great so far, looking forward to seeing completed pics. I really like the look of the 2x12 that they do. Was it relatively easy to wire up/paint/grille etc?
22. Agreed! Used Jack a few times in the past few years and always been super pleased with the results. I was there a couple of weeks back and met Kieran too. Great service and prices.
