Thought I'd update this as things are not starting to take shape. Dropped the bass off in Manchester for the restoration a while back. We've had to go with a new fretboard as the old one was pretty much shot, so it'll have a new board and new frets. Spoke to the tech last week and we're going to get the old lacquer off the neck and start from scratch with a bit of a vintage tint, but nothing too orange! All the pickups were getting their correct readings when we tested them, so should be good to go with those and I've decided on a Badass II for the bridge. Looking forward to getting it back and giving it a thrashing

I've had two tele bass necks from them and various bits of hardware. Not cheap, but then the product is pretty much spot on and the custom options are great. Even things that aren't listed on the website can be accommodated. Great communication as well and the guys there seem to know there stuff. I used to go on the unofficialwarmoth forums for loads of good info and watching the latest builds peopel were doing. Also, sorry for pedant alert, but it's not Warmouth, it's Warmoth. I got one off vegas_hooker on here a few years back. 1980 version as well I believe. Paired with a Matamp 2x12. At bedroom/low volumes it was super bassy and really 'creamy'...didn't have much bite at all, but in a band setting, cranking it, it really roared and sounded superb. Can't remember EQ settings. I tried bridging the two channels, but felt there wasn't much difference between that and 'normal' mode. I'd get one again in a heartbeat...if I actually needed one. Sold it to Jigster eventually. Great amp!

I used an 800rb with a Matamp 2x12. Sounded great, reltively cheap and relatively easy to carry. If you check out the Matamp porn thread in Gear Porn, Tayste has just got a new smaller lightweight 2x12...not sure on cost, but great quality

Mmmnn I really liked the Tall Font by W&C. The ARC sounded great, but didn't really sound like a russian muff should in my head. Still sounded great though,m and looks the business. Also, I love those dakaware knobs, so it should look every better!

No problem, Banzai are great for parts in the EU. Yeah, sold my BGP to Kev so it's mine. Only know of a couple over here so far.

I think a soft 'banana milkshake' type colour would look super with a maple neck. But no, I don't have one.
