Couple of dings on the front of the body, and a bit of general wear, but this is a great sounding instrument for the money. This will make a great main gigging bass, or a backup when you don't want to take the Stingray out to the local rough-house boozer. 34 inch scale. Nut width is 40mm (1-9/16") I'm lookin for 130 quid including UK postage. Will consider PX for EMG 35s, Epi Thunderbird hardcase, headless hardware etc

As per title, its in good working order and plays very well. I'm tempted to keep this as a front room messer/gig spare. There are 2 dinks on the front, one noticeable one near the pickup, and another much smaller one on the LH waist. Looking for £185 ono, postage is £15 in UK, or you can collect/meet up in London area. Will consider PX or swap for Epiphone Gothic Thunderbird or Epiphone Thunderbird PRO in black.

Title says it all really, come on down and support a basschatters band. Some of you may remember us from the 80s... If you can imagine a hyperfuelled Motorhead playing DC/Lizzy, thats what we kinda sound like. All originals, no covers, no bull. I fully expect Pete Bloodaxe to make an appearance after last times hiccup, heehee. Hope to see some of you there. I'll be the shaven headed bloke with the Thunderbird. FS: Jackson Dinky "Christian Olde Wolbers" signature. Thats the bloke from Fear Factory. This is a quality Jackson Japan one, NOT a sh*tty Korean version. Mental cammo finish, wide neck for monster riffage, designed for downtuned malarkey with heavy strings, but works just as well as a shredder with 9's on it. Right handed, with cool reverse-headstock. One EMG pickup and one volume, that is all you really need for monster riffage isn't it Its in good nick, been gigged a few times, but the only noticeable wear is on the black coating on the bridge saddles (which all Jacksons suffer from after about 3 minutes) and a couple of tiny little chips. It comes with a gigbag. I am only selling because I cant get on with the wide neck. Looking for 400 ono, will consider swapsies/PX for WHY... Will post anywhere in UK, but personal pickup (London) preferred to save any embarrassing courier issues.
Just out of interest, where did these come from? I might be interested, but I would be worried about them being Chinese copies. (sorry, I don't mean any disrespect to you.) Were they from a secure source and are there receipts?
Eek sorry, just noticed the reply!. Yes, they are real and from a bankrupted music shop. Best to PM if you need to get hold of me.

Status graphite series 2000 headless 1987 for sale
robocorpse replied to wombatboter's topic in Basses For Sale
Why does this make me really angry that someone bid it up and up and up, then doesn't want it? now the percieved value has risen - again - and everyone else who has a Status under the bed will automatically think it's worth minimum £1000, unlike the handful that have sold on ebay in the last few years for between 500-800... Seems as soon as I actually had the dosh to buy an all-graphite Status, they get bumped up again, and the likelihood of getting a good deal is getting near impossible now. I bet the guy who got the worn S2 off ebay last year for £450 is laughing his head off right now. -
I've promised myself I wouldn't post anything of consequence any more in the local forum, but reading this thread has annoyed me intensely. Everybody's entitled to their own opinion of course (and critics will no doubt point out that I probably have a vested interest in defending Paul), but I can't help thinking that the opinions expressed in some of the preceding posts would come over a little more convincing if they were based on having actually used (or at least read) the book concerned, rather than simply lumping it with the car manuals.
All the comments and banter this book/thread has created is more likely to get people to BUY this book. Stop being so precious!

I quite like it, but not for 500 quid.

Cardiacs, Egg, Gentle Giant, Matching Mole, Genesis 71-78, ELP, Greenslade, mid period Rush, early Marillion, smattering of Crimson. Used to be a massive Yeshead too. Dream Theater make my skin crawl.
