chances on the forklift damamge are actually are very real, ive had more than a few payouts from claims with damaged and missing items, all of which had enhanced liability insurance on i would not have had a hope in hell of a claim without the cover, i even had a front bumper from a subaru "lost", Bearing in mind it was probably nearly 4 ft in lenght lol i can hardly see it slipping through the rollers on the conveyer belts in the hubs lol good descision on the enhanced insurance sleep well :-) -

i always take enhanced insurance on anything £100 or over, standard courier cover is only £15 per kilo so not much on a 6kg bass from tnt terms 14 VALUABLE GOODS You should not send valuable goods such as precious stones, precious metals, jewellery, money, negotiable instruments, unprotected furniture, glass or china, objects of art, antiques and important documents that include passports, tenders, share and option certificates through our network delivery system because it involves the use of mechanical handling and automated sortation equipment together with multiple transhipments on and off vehicles which could result in loss and/or damage. If you nevertheless send, or cause us to send, such goods through our network delivery system it shall be at your own risk. -
nice thread, i have a lot of dealings with all the top couriers as part of my job and the other person arranging courier is good advice, the secondary charge is usually applied to the account holder under the term "third party collection" and as stated you are asking the courier to collect said item and deliver it to you as apposed to a straight delivery. the other good tip pack the box full, no room inside means better protection against crushing / standing on, most of the couriers will at some point stand on a parcel to get to the back on the van, pick up other parcels that have fallen over etc, other other issue of fragile tape again in my experience is spot on, most couriers/hubs work night shifts and tend to employ temps and agency staff to stay competative, they are not really career people and have been seen on camera kicking and throwing parcels marked as fragile, boredom or brain dead you decide but it does happen red rag to a bull :-) and as above the enhanced liability on transport insurance is very important,( industry norm is only £15 per kilo for missing damaged consignments, this wont cover a lot of bass!)

no one else heard of this make?
-
yea thats what i was afraid of, thanks for confirming, i was hoping to continue with the type of quality im getting from my ashdown combo and wondered if although more watts would be less sound wise, i may be cheeky and have a borrow to see how it sounds?
-
its probably gonna be £70 type moneies maybe ? just trying to find out a little more about the make, i can only find guitars and a practice amp so far via google :-( monies too tight at the mo to go for a speculative one to keep and move on later if you know what i mean, i was thinking of replacing my combo with seperate amp and cab so ..

hi guys, been offered a bluerock 300 bass amp head for not very much money (i.e offers lol) the compressor button sticks cutting out the amp,.never heard of this make before its a 300watt amp any one heard of these, would it be worth me picking it up cheap and getting it looked at ? or not bother and get a nice ashdown 300 etc etc instead? cheers for any info cant find much on the ole google search on this one :-(
