Not sure if anyone else knows so here we go.
Sold a bass on eBay, winning bid was £250 - ebay final value fee is 10% which I was expecting. I checked my seller account & noticed £2.50 was taken for "Final value fee on postage".
The postage was £25 so I can only assume its another 10% for the greedy people running the company & that's me being polite!
Here is their words in black & white
" A final value fee is charged when an item is sold.
The final value fee of £27.48 for this item is based on the shipping cost and sale price of £250.00."
Anyone else noticed this ???
Cheers

I noticed this the other day as well after I sold some Western books on Ebay, bloody highwaymen, they should wear masks and carry flintlocks pistols !
Totally wrong in regards to postage IMHO, I'm fine with them charging a fee for selling an item on their site but postage is nothing to do with them, I don't see anyone from Ebay coming to my house to collect and then deliver the stuff I sell.
