  1. .... waiting with baited breath!
  2. A few years back fender "improved" the AVRI lines - the '75ri Jazz, '57P and '62P became '76J, '58P and '63P goodness knows why or what imporvements/cost savings they were making - I preferred the older ones. (also 4 bolt vs 3 bolt neck)
  3. I tried one, didn't like it as much as the slightly older '75ri models I had tried - for the life of me can't remember why I thought that though!
  4. "Andy I love that you've booked a holiday, Northern Ireland by ferry is an er, unexpected choice ... and why is our search history all about smugglers building secret compartments in cars??"
  5. That’s mean, the guy is in a hole and the situation is gnawing him up from inside - be nice
  6. love it. is this the number one now? and your wise friend was wise
  7. I was lucky that I got into music relatively late and my introduction was the evening show with Steve Lemaq and followed by Peel. I kinda grew to love how Peel would jump genres so much in a way you don't really get now. The more I listen the more I seem to appreciate the pop stuff I would have discarded back then.
  8. “I like pink bass! I want you get pink bass”- my 3yr old daughter seeing guy Pratt play his burgundy mist jazz on YouTube And actually wanting to watch!

      That's a free-pass as far as I'm concerned :D

  9. So your dilemma is between a £4000+ original 1960's jazz or the £300 Squier you currently have? I would suggest there's a heck of a lot between those price points that you could have a lot of fun trying.
  10. I give it a week It could be required, it would just require a lot of postage Is this the end of the “Lozz jazz bass era”?
  11. I think my stock Best preamp Answer is “John east”
  12. wow - also great looking https://reverb.com/uk/item/38675072-basslab-soul-iv-complete-yellow-gebraucht
  13. I came here expecting some kind of splatter with a kinked headstock - but that is just Beautiful!
  14. The pedal/bass whatever.... The pedal/bass whatever with drums behind. That for me starts to give me enough idea of what it sounds like in a mix. What I don't want is The pedal/bass whatever with drums behind and a full band mix. Unless I'm super interested in the gear (ie about to buy) I'm mostly browsing on something with speaker that aren't great for bass. I can live with that... if the whole band is on there it just ends up telling me how good or not your electric playing is as that's all that comes out the speakers...
  15. Bartolini pickups and the stock preamp are also a good mix (edit - original series Bart)
  16. If you raise the saddle at the bridge to get rid of the buzz does it go up too much to make it nicely playable?
  17. Alun Armstrong seems to make most things...
  18. Both. global pandemic. Brexit. Everyone working From home and the rise in home delivery, production shutting down of new vans for a large part of last year, the dealerships shutting for a while and the uncertainty meaning there is pent up demand ...
  19. Guessing you will want a white one and a 5th wheel that you want to have but are hardly going to use? Working in the automotive sector van prices are mental at the moment... not enough supply, crazy demand....
  20. having googled that I am now off to pick a bass up and work out what iI do!
  21. So it's an amp model block, not a patch.... and er - I don't know how to put this but "emulating complex harmonics provided by something like a tube preamp paired with a class AB power amp" - that is precisely what the Line6 stuff is designed to do.
