  1. Yeah I posted the link then noticed he had posted it on fb about a billion times since last year.
  2. 5 strings and it’s white - had one of these yet @Al Krow? https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/332428338193561/
  3. Undersell of the century- the neck is phenomenal
  4. got the carve for slapping too - reminds me a bit of the ones you see on early TRB but further up the neck
  5. was trying to find a clip of a BB1300 and internet led me to this which someone said in a link was a Yamaha BB.... but is it? the top looks carved
  6. I had moved to Glasgow and a guy who I was just getting to know asked if I wanted too go catch a gig with him, it was somewhere near the lighthouse they were called "this will destroy you" and were crazy loud too the point they were just a wall of noise. I didn't know the guy well enough to just leave him so ended up hiding outside the toilets on another floor near the exit for 10 min till he had had enough and came to find me. I lasted 5 min, him 15. We are still friends.
  7. can we translate it as TravisBlue? He would like that.
  8. TravisBlue Metallic - after our Andy
  9. using the search facility a member called @Sean posted in 2017 on a thread called "best Yamaha bass on the market" that he had one. He also is listed as living in Gloucester... coincidence? Who knows! (well Sean obviously)
  10. OT but do want to celebrate you on your profile pic
  11. Ah cool! I just had a thought I might have visited your church as it wasn’t crazy far from Solihull ... but that was in central Birmingham I think
  12. In Birmingham?
  13. Schaller 3D isn’t it? Used to be standard on Warwicks in early 80s
  14. Which to be fair is a fairly reasonable comeback
  15. @warwickhunt!
  16. it's almost as if I hadn't said that a few posts up!
  17. But there’s something about the production of it that doesn’t match the lyrics - I don’t know how to explain it - also having looked up the lyrics I think the Trite illustration of the content of the video massively makes the lyrics seem trite. Listened to without the video it’s a lot better. but it’s the best video featuring children’s TV set since that Radiohead one (also a comment on the state of the world) - I’m guess thst one doesn’t get played by many wedding bands though?
  18. Or the “stadium rock ready” version of Mumford and sons
  19. I've just found this bass on your website... it looks amazing ... what do all the knobs do? there's like extra wood ones beneath the bridge?
  20. I took that as the switch below. This is @EBS_freak so it will be some fiendishly clever integrated solution for something.... maybe it raises and lowers his bass riser?
  21. I'm guessing you don't have the stomp yet .... the power input on the Stomp is marked 9V DC 3A - centre negative. It doesn't look like anything on that will give 3A
  22. and what's the secret little black knob do? Is that the encoder to send midi signals to turn both your and the guitarists effect to the next snapshot, the light show to move on and also the smoke machine to turn on?
  23. There are electrical differences too - two volumes uses two 250k Ohm (or whatever value) pots... a blend control uses three 250 Ohm tracks (in two pots). The pots at 100% in the centre are labelled MN One of the main selling points of some of John East's preamps is he uses active buffered blend so each pickup isn't effecting the other.
  24. What did you order?
  25. I think it's been one of those things where the basses with the emotional attachment to have been replaced by something else. By the time they have been sitting in unplayed for a year or so, objectively unless I want to own lots of basses, I may as well let them go someplace else. Or in the case of a couple I've let go, the bass the cash allowed me to get was far more valuable than the emotional value of the bass to me.
