  1. It’s different and you will need to get used to it is probably better than “very difficult”
  2. Warwick moves from the old West German factory to their current site in the old DDR in 1992 - there were a few changes in hardwear around this time too which means, for my money, I would be tracking down pre 1992 versions.
  3. Some eras had truss rods you could slide out and replace.
  4. Not sure Andy is a satenist - Sultan is Andy’s dealer/enabler in disguise as a delivery driver ...
  5. I note your other half has tied the door shut to make sure Sultan doesn’t arrive again
  6. But I thought it could explain this bit of King Kunta by Kendrick Lamar “When you got the yams—(What's the yams?) The yam is the power that be You can smell it when I'm walkin' down the street (Oh yes, we can, oh yes, we can) I can dig rappin', but a rapper with a ghostwriter? What the funk happened? (Oh no!)“ maybe he’s talking about the bass players Yam - Yammy - Yamaha???? but then realise thundercat plays Ibanez so possibly not
  7. Erm - I think @StickyDBRmf is referring to calling a Yamaha “yammy” rather than any particular sound the bass makes!! (unless Nathan East pops up as a singer in the records singing “Yammy Yammy Yammy”.)
  8. Serious question - anyone who’s been scammed contacted the journalist see if there’s another story about a load of bass players being ripped off now ...
  9. On the flip side I was playing my Lakland 55-94 for quite a while before I realised it was 35”. hand stretch Was less than for a 34” Warwick thumb!
  10. Me three. Though I’ve never tried to do play like Mark king
  11. I’ve played it - it is very nice
  12. Btw that was a genuine question- I wasn’t picking at something you said!
  13. Is 34” or 35” “standard” for 5 strings?
  14. I wonder what would happen if Jason was asked his full name and address so that Prowla could update the police and his legal team on developments, just in case they wish to talk to him ....
  15. I've been thinking about 5 strings today. They are nice. I could live without I think.
  16. I think a divorce settlement meant they each kept a half?
  17. I may be wrong but I think it's fairly common to see pro players on here who play in the very modern genres of shows and theatre to use a 5 string. EDIT: sorry, @Doddy has already said similar
  18. The Basswitch is a preamp
  19. I’ve got some really really close friends but I’m not sure I’ve ever Sat in a pub with them and shared proof of purchase Receipts with them, and even if they had I’m not sure I would have memorised all the names and addresses. even less likely to look through a mates receipt at the moment cos the pubs are shut...
  20. Out of interest - how certain are ppl that the fraudster in Leicester newspaper and the Facebook guy are the same person? it just struck me that if I was going to defraud people then posing using a convicted fraudster as my disguise wouldn’t be the most stupid way to do it.
  21. If you looked into that trial are you likely to find the name of the police officer who will be most interested in getting the guy?
  22. Is your fave one a 60's original worth big bucks or something?
