    The thing is - I would question if it even matters? The nice thing about this era Fujigen is the necks, and body woods - the ones I've tried just play far nicer than their price. I'm a bit sceptical as to why unmolested pickups or electronics matter, it's not a pre-CBS... if it were me, play it, stick whatever pickups you like in it, and play some more

    because fender labeled domestic ones they would have been making at various price points. Some might have had fancy pickups, some cheaper? that's a guess

    though yours is more what I would expect than the link you posted. From memory of my JV squier series the pickup wires were cloth covered and the rest were not

    Fender Japan made basses at different price points so you would expect the pickup and wiring to be different.
