which isn't to say this isn't a great bit of kit - just after playing a few rebel heads with their power management I'm kinda weary of this kinda stuff.

batteries... strings should sort it.... But looking at your sig, Jazz through a EBS amp I would think has a fair amount of top end on tap..... depending what you are listening to a Humbucker like a MM pup will probably be more attenuated at the top end than a single coil like in your jazz.

Ive got a 1991 SS1 and a lovely 1985 Thumb. I don't need any other basses. (well except the BB1200 I've sitting in the spare room)

More than the non custom Foderas... and the prices on them get people riled up on basschat more than preferential cab handles.... secondhand is the way to go!

The bigger the stage the smaller the rig you actually need. Get big enough and a di box would be big enough

Lets face it, in the majority of cases, if you couldn't do the job straight into the desk with the venues spare DI box, then no amount of gear is going to help you.
