I was going to say this.. but then I would try and convince Wes to make one as he had made a brill looking copy.... then realised that you own it! oh well!

 4. when's the closing date? is it the end of the month?
 5.
The Katana is still very much in existence! In fact, Scott Reeder just custom ordered one not long ago, and had it out on tour with him! They may not be out there in big numbers, but they are out there....there is nothing quite like the tone and playability of the Katana!
Hey! slightly OT but I was thinking I hadn't seen you around much lately.
 6. and having just got to the "solo" - it was awful - see guthrie's face looking at the other guitarist trying to work out what's going on - what was the relation to the previous music?????
 7.
I'm talkin' bout the bass solo, not the guitar stuff. Asian musicians always practice too much http://www.youtube.c...1&v=ozbZeZZwSIw
Asian musicians, and essex boys...
 8.
There's no "just" when it comes to GAS.
doesn't your Westone Thunder 1A in your sig have a P pickup on it? doesn't that get close?
 9. enjoy playing it btw, my previous response was a bit short! I'm sure the neck is lovely, to tell the truth I'm a wee bit jealous of your bass there- not cos of any possible value it may or may not have - but cos I know it will play amazingly!
 10. Don't see why they wouldn't be. Costly by the time you add VAT and import duty though
 11. aww that actually looks nice, they had a white one with white scratchplate in a local shop to me a while back - i couldn't stand the sight of it - but that looks great!
 12.
The BB400S is waiting to be shipped to The Bass Doc for control jack and battery routs and a bone nut to be cut and fitted. I'm also having him make a white pearl Stingray type pickguard for it too. I'm working in China at the moment so it's on hold for a couple of weeks. As soon as I get back I'll be fitting the bridge, pickups and tuners so Howard can do his bit. The 300 body is still only half stripped and is waiting for more work to get it back to the wood, I'll work out what to do with it then. I've got another project about to start and Jon Shuker is going to start that for me but I'm keeping it under wraps until it's done as I feel there'd be a few and a few and not to mention a few and even some and possibly some if they saw it before it's done. What paint did you use? Have you got a link? I might give some cheaper paint a go on the 300 just to see.
http://www.molotow.com/products/artist-line/premium-relaunch-2011/ intrigued about the Shuker! let me guess have you integrated a full size leslie speaker into it?
 13.
I've now asked for a quote for the routing, pickguard and a new nut.
how are these going? I got the first coat of paint on my jazz body today - was going to go down the proper sanding sealer/primer/colour topcoat route in nitro- then costed it up, primer/acrylic/topcoat also seemed to be a bit much - top quality graffiti paint however - designed to give good colour and coverage - and £3.50 a can!
 14. I'm sure it would be possible - not easy though at all .... and something like the Eden WT500 would almost hit your weight limit... or Genz Benz make a lightweight head with a valve preamp, and do a few other makes....
 15.
No rivets on the shafts.
what he says, I would also want to check the diameter of the holes used, and see the back
 16.
lol!
to be fair it's been a bit of a mission - half decided I wanted to try an EQ-01 in my bass this time last year - before Alan was selling them. Then he made them available - I saved up and blew all the money on an engagement ring, saved up again and blew it all (stupidly) on phone calls to the fiancee (tip: check how many free mins you have left) and then sold stuff to afford it, ran out of money, traded a guitar for some stuff, sold the stuff.... and now.... now as soon as I sit down and do my accounts...
 17.
Just got back tonight from a gig with it. Man it sounds killer. The way it 'snapped' back at me what I dug in on the D and G strings in a solo sung! And anyone that's go any idea that this bass is only good for high mid freq 'modern' tones is wrong. I had fat, warm, rounded and bottom heavy drone notes for days under the acoustic guitar's arpeggios in the more ballady tunes.
So- that post just cost me (and is about to give alan) the £200 that I have possibly spare as soon as I work out it def is spare this time!
 18. Replacement tuners there. Would be interested in seeing more photos.
 19.
Here we go. Pedulla Rapture (x2)..... ....... .....G&L 2000 And loads of others I cant remember at this moment in time. Not got many left, but I'll never sell my gigging Pedulla Thunderbolt and Yamaha 2024x.

Starting from my first bass, in 1987, roughly in order of purchase, present haul in bold. 1980 Washburn .... ..... .....2012 Fender Precision, ’66 Slab project, self build, nearly there now! Actually, just noticed I have 13 basses, clearly unlucky. Must buy another!
Gentlemen - I will be printing these lists out next time I need to justify a bass to the powers that be and explain that she's getting away lightly. Also Rick- A status shark in 1989? surely they only started making them in 93-94?
 20. second one sounds ace too also the best thing (from the two) at showing what the pre can do/does!
 21. man, cool groove on the first one... though imagine that played on a P bass....
 22. good point he makes about the individual height adjustment. as long as it matches the radius it's not striktly needed is it?
 23.
'LukeFRC' ah but a true lumber jack knows that a good heavy tool is a good thing. MB1. ...Fnarr Fnarr!
If I reply to this will it count as bumping the thread within 36 hours? does it count if there is nout for sale? Will this thread please drop down into the vault of sold stuff....
 24.
MB1. Bass equivalent of axe to chop wood? surely that would be Gene Simmons Axe bass? (Think hes chopped his wood a few times with it? )
ah but a true lumber jack knows that a good heavy tool is a good thing.
