1.
Asking for pictures? Common sense really. You wouldn't buy something you haven't seen. Even if they do have the item, if they're too lazy to take pictures of it they can get stuffed!
you wonder if they will be too lazy to post the thing too...
 2. I never even knew these competitions existed until I saw the thread in the affiliates forum! Tempted to try and make some noise myself

 4.
I was born genuine, I had an almost blind faith in humanity, but then I kept getting f*d over and over by people taking advantage of my genuinity, now I have split personality, half of me still trust the human kind, (hoping always that there is still a good level of honesty in every man) the other half of me trusts no one when it comes to money and business. The latter part of me gets never out of pocket in a deal whereas the first half keep getting f'd. Go figure!
you're a good man wazoo
 5. depends who it is really. There are some folk on here I would buy things from sight unseen. And a lot I wouldn't. These days not being able to take a photo is unlikely.
 6. I love t40 s, everytime I see this thread i wish i hadnt moved mine on. Mind you I remember the reasons I did. My main memory was how fun it was to play, and how many different sounds it had- ahhh
 7. It's not really valve front end/solid state amp - the power section models a valbe power stage too somehow, its a very good very nice bit of kit - it. can do a big fat valve tone, and it can get more modern too.
 8. has the preamp got a gain mini knob on it?
 9.
Looks in great nick too?? Half a mile away?? Do I really need any more gear?, No, as tempting as it is. Great little set up for someone though.
He has an alembic. He wants a Jaydee Mark King and now he's being tempted by Trace elliot stuff..... What happened to the RIck we used to know?
 10. not apart from you total and utter spanner
 11. well i don't think you'll be able to stick a link here - see the rules. also your original post was marked "Sold" which may have put folk off!
 12. but it fails in even really showing the colours- like a set of photographs and a painted plank would be better/cheaper
 13. Just sold Mike my Bass Pod, a nice and friendly guy and put up with my wee delay posting through illness and postoffice computer crashes. a pleasure to chat too, enjoy the Pod!
 14.
http://www.ebay.co.u...&orig_cvip=true
that was priceless! I love the fact he has a guitar with a 4mm action at the first fret and his first thought is "must be the nut"!
 15.
Hi Lozz, Glad to see another happy owner. Once I have the frets in top order I'm gonna push some air with this thing man! Can't wait in the mean time I just avoid the high G# on the D string! lol
it's a p bass.... what you doing out of the first position???/
 16.
My personal preference would be midnight wine with parchment p/g. It's far and away my favourite Fender scheme. Leaving now...
yeah I think if I go red that's the way to go!
orange, bright orange... a bright orange jazz... with rosewood fingerboard. yes... oh yes...

^^ this man speaks the truth Capri orange looks amazing on Fender style basses.
actually not really thought of orange - it does look good din nit!
Just pick your own favourite colour, not someone else's favourite colour. Simple.
depending what day I went into the shop would depend what colour I walked out with. And it's usefull - I'm going to thing about orange now too
This ^^ although British Racing Green & Rosewood takes my fancy too - black/mint/black pickguard.
ooh I hadn't thought of a black pick guard - that could work!
The blue in the bottom right corner!
? there isn't a blue in the bottom right of the post you quoted... ?
 17.
Cheers steve! That's the most serious P collection I believe I've ever come across my man! A man in love it would seem Btw do you have any idea how I could find out what re-issue 'year' this model is? It was just advertised as 50s and the guys in store couldn't tell me more.
it would have probably had a one ply white scratchplate and been a '57ri.
 18.
How are we supposed to do this? Second post down, first batch, fourth from the left? And there's no sunburst option. Or blue burst, or fire glow, or metallic .. Honestly, standards these days .. Cardinal Wolsey would never have posted that.
cardinal wolsey may have been more practiced in burst finishes that would make that a possibility
 19. or there are more usual colours.... and less usual
 20. Red - part of me has always wanted a red jazz bass. I think ideally with a maple neck. But on the negative- well red basses are a bit, you know... common. could always go for the dark aubergine colour! blue. Not sure I like blue guitars, Lake placid is nice but it's not a solid colour is it? ocean, rustic and Mediterranean blue are interesting colours and not normal fender colours.
 21. So I've a project bass I'm currently stripping down and sanding a lump off basswood- and I looked at some nice nitro paint but figured that I didn't want to throw more money than I need at this project so instead looking at acrylic paints- mainly the plasti-kote range.... http://www.plasti-ko...1/pccode---6751 so what colour should I go for? ... current thoughts.... (oh btw, rosewood fretboard) Shell pink(ish)- originally it was going to be shell pink nitro. I'm not sure any of these colours go anywhere near this...positive- looks cool. Negative- it's pink! Sherwood green(ish)- Lawn green - I love the idea of an almost british racing green jazz, but gloss rather than the metallic/glitter finish that fender/sadowsky use. currently this is my favourite idea.
 22.
Good advice IME... if you want to use a clear coat on top to get that really shiny finish use the matt finish paint. It'll save you a tiny bit of work - depending on how sh*t hot with a spray can you are You could always get down to you local flyover at 2am with your hoodie on and get some practise in
that's what I was going to ask - can i stick matt/satin colours under a clear coat - or would you just use a gloss colour and no clear coat?
 23.
Should click on the link being quoted - thought you were talking about the APII Cardinal.
i was wondering
 24. yeah, you know what they made next.... (hint look at my profile pic)
