1.
And still looking just as lovely
+1
 2. theres a trend here then. these amps are getting enough air?
 3.
Arrived today, and quickly whipped it in, truly stellar, much better than the Bartolini pre I had installed, the options and tones are ridiculous. Shame I can't play with it more now, as I injured my thumb at work.
thats a shame. Wee question, I was looking at the East and Bart pre's recently- which bart pre was it, and what didn't you like about it?
 4.
Or whether they are a mile away or clamped to each side of your head like headphones!! *runs faster.....*
Or if they are valve watts or solid state watts..... *runs past usain....*
 5.
Cheers John, sounds like its time for a mini-bash round your place I know what you mean. I've been trolling around the interweb trying to find a decent power amp using this lightweight class D malarky that can put about 900w in 8 ohms 1500w in 4 ohms. Can't believe that there isn't a dedicated mono musical instrument power amp available like this. If Orange can do a 1000w Terrorbass that is basically their front end in front of a B&O power amp module, surely somebody somewhere will have thought of using a similar amp module to produce a decent mono power amp?
I guess most power amps aren't designed to be moved much, unlike musician's amp which have to be cleared on and off stage.
 6. In my opinion. the best bridge on a P bass is a BBOT one. I would avoid anything "hi-mass"
 7.
Fabulous! I'm sitting noodling through it at the minute (coupled with my pair of DB12's and a 1200w power amp it is 'overkill' for a practice rig but... what the hell ) and it is a great bit of kit but then again so is the TF and unless I can find a very lightweight power amp (ideally 1U), the TF will remain my main amp!
very lightweight... but you don't like class D right? So you want a big transformer in a little box. Might look like this....
 8.
Just to give you some options Kev... I have a Warwick Hellborg 1U rackmount preamp that you can borrow. I know it isn't 'exactly' what you want but it might be worth experimenting (I have a power amp to go with it but it isn't one of the uber-light ones).
how is the Hellborg?
 9. No one mentioned the effect the type/size of speakers used will have yet? *runs for cover*
 10.
Don't get me started!! Luke, I need your help!
Can't help with the status but Swap you my warwick for your Jvs
 11.
I don't know if it's just me and my sick mind, but I always thought that the Corvettes body contour (If that's a phrase?) looks like some kind of sexual object and when I was looking for a new bass a while back most of my mates seemed to agree.....And that's the story of why I didn't get a Warwick.
they make other basses other than the corvette you know?
 12.
Thanks ... It really is, I only wonder if the GAS ever stops.
I had a 3 bass rule and kept buying and selling. When I got to a two bass rule I found the risk of moving one of mine on and regretting it was enough to stop me! The dolphin looks an odd one to move on!
 13.
Better than Mr. Hunt...
no, you're Warwickhunt - and like a Brazilian footballer you only have one name. It's a bit like Pele isn't Mr Pele- he's just Pele. If we did shorten it it would be to "the 'hunt" Mind you Bolinowskywickhunt would also be suitable now I think?
 14.
Indeed! My name is Garey - and its a pleasure to be a part of BC! Thanks!
I dunno, Mr Warwick would be a good name too!
 15. it looks lovely! Pretty rate these Bravewoods, the only one I know for sale is the P bass in Rick's Fine 59's sig.
 16. it's what you get used too. I used to have a fat bassman sounding rig. I was happy. Now I have clean solid state... and i'm happy.
 17. I would get your screwdriver out and take the three squiers to bits to make one UBER bass, and one very good fretless. and the other one.
 18. not a clue but that switch sure does say "flick me" !
 19.
Yep, I agree, though damage is a little easier to spot. Good point about setups, too - I've seen some shockers. Wobbly necks due to shop temperatures? Where was this, the Sahara branch of Music Ground?
rather not say, apart from the daft temperatures it's a great wee shop so I don't want to do them down.
 20. There was a thread stuck up here. (with an address) and rightly hidden by the mods about a scam. Like a lot of the scams they seem to pick far away places, orkney or the highlands of Scotland. Having lived in scotland for quite a long time can I make one suggestion if a good item is offered somewhere way up north.... the highlands and islands are not that populated... and generally if you stick in a name, say Mary Roberts, and where she's from say, Isle of Mull - the internet will bring something up about her from the community webpages, business pages, planning permission of the local government and so on. (I hope there isn't a real Mary Roberts) - while you can't do this in the city as easily you can up north get a feel for if people are likely to exist or not.
