I had a combo/ cab which the amp section had been taken out. It was very very high end stuff in there and sold it (to warwick hunt) for £150 or so. I would guess around that price? Whatever it is you would probably get more if you fixed it then sold it I would have thought

I'm not in a band at the moment having just moved, and when I was it was just at church, I would get you no real exposure- though I would wear one of your osprey t shirts, would not make your brand look cool or good, any videos I made on youtube would be let down by my odd scottish-essex hybrid accent and my lack of skill in playing, oh yeah and i'm probably not good looking enough for anything bigger than a thumbnail on your website. I could however use my design and copy writing skills to give you some GREAT advert copy.... "Look Luke's Osprey Licks" or "People don't listen to what I say, Until I play, my Osprey custom Pingray" or the more general "The best thing from Aberdeen since the oil money" ....

I wouldn't suggest it on something you can buy still.

It is interesting though, and one wonders where the next step is for endorsements- my guess will be that the manufacturers will start to ask for content as well- my guess Warwick are doing that with Andy Irvine - not just here's a bass for (more or less free, even if it's at cost price lets not kid ourselves the amount of time it takes to build something custom) you to play live and in videos and appear in press - but heres a bass and come generate content for and owned by us. Example if company X endorsed me maybe I get two basses for the price of one or something - and am expected to play them live and in vids and etc - and also I work my butt off for a wee while making content, videos, writing whatever for the brand.

[/quote] you've been messed around more than most.... but it's a bright green bass. a bright green bass. so a bit harder to sell, as you have found. I would probably say I would love to own it, cos it does look like something brill. But like many I am sure, don't have space for a a bright green bass as my main bass.

[/quote] I ran out of solder and ran to the local old old electronics shop, been there years (now closed ) asked for some solder and got some lead stuff.... best stuff ever - quite a step up from maplins basic stuff! anyway, I found this thread and that was my interesting comment on it!

er... I kinda agree with the seller here. You were happy when you bought it. Did the active mode work then? - I can see why he might be pissed off that you just get back to him out the blue and say it's not working. Bass preamps are quite simple circuits for the most part- have you tried fixing it yourself?

you use the gain knob to set the input to the point where it's not clipping. Even if this is at 9 o clock that's fine. - then use the volume to set how loud it is.

G [/quote] Well Rob Green designs and builds basses of his own design and one of the few that pioneered the use of graphite in bass construction using proprietary pickups and preamps. Roger bolts together copies of fenders.
