  1. There you go, send your broken one to @lidl e and he will post you back a fixed one!
  2. Comment on Cioks: they are polish and things get lost in translation sometimes Not a comment on Cioks at all but problem solving: Does the DC7 still fire up? If the model Fet has a hot/burnt smell and failed in some way could it be a failure in that pedal, which could be causing a short that has then heated up the DC7 too?
  3. To be fair to them they have to be defensive a wee bit - they don’t want to accept liability and then have you turn around and say that you had a £5m neve desk powered by it and they were now liable for repairs or something. we’re you putting too much voltage into the model fet or something?
  4. Depends…. https://kmraudio.com/products/universal-audio-la2a?variant=44941668090148&gclid=CjwKCAjwp6CkBhB_EiwAlQVyxUpHbcySo41xA1SvVY7Pg1U3z6Qptmph33lBjApnzDbzkPLS9g9NuRoCtZoQAvD_BwE …
  5. If you are thinking Bass cab and amp direction one of the LFSys models and a clean sounding bass amp might work for you

    DIY Effects

It's not a DIY effect at all but thought this would be the place where gut shots of a v2 colourbox would be appreciated ... lots of things going on in there. And no I couldn't work out what the HPF was doing to work out how to mod it...

    Pedalboard qs

@jimbobothy warned me not to use too much - I’ve got 4 squares about 5*15 MM per pedal and it’s more than enough
  8. What does “a little tired” mean, what do you look for in a good on board preamp? What (if any) extra control do you want? what preamps have you liked in the past and why?
  9. It’s crying out for the top of the body to be shaped a bit like this ACG and follow the “bite” shape!
  10. Fairfield barbershop on that list too… the SFT is literally a SVT circuit with transistors - I built a clone of one years back and it was very nice.
  11. and matches the berg amp!
  12. Nice! It looks lovely too
  13. Ampeg and Line6 are both part of Yamaha so they probably would say they have more fully featured options in their portfolio
  14. I’ve played if and this one has “it”
  15. Neon pink LED under lighting?
  16. how common model is it? will somewhere like ishibashi likely get a secondhand model in?
  17. They aren’t made by the same companies these days but that’s another story!
  18. I do a week after putting them on in most cases.
  19. keep digging deeper into Digimart and you will realise that Fender Japan are some of the least interesting basses to come out of Japan...
  20. Do you think it’s oven ready?
  21. the chunky neck will be stiffer than a thinner jazz neck. Stiffness is part of the "wal recipe" funkle was talking about somewhere in the past 26 pages
  22. Chunky= stiff
  23. That looks mint
  24. I love the idea of having a bundle of necks and a bundle of bodies and being able to switch them to work out what sounds good together. Glad you're getting on with the Sims pickups too, I looked at them, and even made a bitsa with similar functionality and got lost in option paralysis - between that and the 8 knobs on the ACG equipped streamer I had there was a definite digression to enjoying the simplicity of a P bass.
  25. There are a lot more frets on show there than I would expect for you sir! like that blue body
