I'm not sure that's right - Alembic I always though was a fender tonestack?

Anyone seen or built the Frog FX1 preamp pedal - fender showman or the Alembic based on it shrunk down to pedal size … making me tempted to build something again
  3. Make the conversation about her foldback and in ears - I'm really sorry you seem to be singing flat, it must be your fold back - next time we need to spend some time making sure you can hear yourself ...have you set your in-ears correctly? It really is important for making sure you're in tune - like last week you probably didn't even realise ...
  4. sooo instrument in the instrument in mono (Left and right for two instruments?) and then and then laptop stereo blend in via effects loop? An AB switcher before the stomp for the guitar and bass might be easier, just for my brain more than anything
  5. Hold up - it's probably helpful to separate "I can't get on with the ergonomics cos I don't have anywhere nice to put my thumb" from "I have one, don't like the sound"
  6. @Steve Browning - tried it one of these? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261594534917?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=TYluiBxGQK6&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=g-S2GOEbSbm&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  7. It’s a standard Groove with a wooden neck and a busted tuner… not common but hardly rare, there was a nice red one earlier this year
  8. Can it come attatched to that blue bass?
  9. Depends on funding model used.... with the shift of the marketplace to online prices are more transparent and there's a big chunk of the market that I would trust now when it comes to the vehicle - less so when selling add on products that may or may not be needed or necessary. To be honest in this scenario my biggest surprise would be my 4 year old daughter becoming a teenage son.
  10. As someone who works in a company supplying mainly the secondhand car market I resent this - every industry has it's chancers and dodgy practice, but generally even at the worst end of the used car market is safer, better regulated and more open and honest than vintage guitars....
  11. I just play what I want through the week and have a half hour run through the songs beforehand- most of them are simple enough there’s not much that’s going to throw me. if being a dad time allows I might spend a bit more time nailing down a few options for more melodic stuff but you’re always at the mercy of drummer or lead guitarists changing the rhythm slightly and what I’ve come up with not fitting… to be honest I don’t think the musical skills you need to get to an acceptable level playing at church are that high a level… the harder skills is dealing with last min changes, working as a team with a big range of skillsets and being in a place to worship yourself as you lead others in worship…. my tip, pick a more complentative song which the bass isn’t really adding too and choose to sit out most of it … what are you doing? Shuffling music? Pulling faces at the kids? picking you nose? Modelling how to worship to the rest of the meeting? Swigging coffee? Giving that WTF look at the drummer?
  12. I think there’s a difference between missing something (say a Wal) because you miss it and regret having it around, and missing something cos the value has shot up
  13. Dear sir. that crews bass is a very lovely thing that I deeply would love to be able to afford - but not with that scratchplate 🤢 I understand others views may vary and on ther basses it may look fine
  14. they look more like Schechter Monstertones?
  15. Is it wiring you need rather than pot types? These images may help https://reverb.com/item/26465647-atelier-z-eq-m-onboard-preamp
  16. It’s a open stereo Jack like the bottom one in @Andyjr1515s post … the contacts are like springs that touch the cable - before you fit a new one open it up and pinch the contacts closer … that could be all in needs https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1072092/Yamaha-Bb-Ne2.html?page=2#manual
  17. The japapanese “torlam” comes closest I think
  18. Which would suggest that their new prices are justified and about right. It's capitalism, price is set by desirability/market/supply. If it's too high it won't sell, if it's too low they won't make as much as they should be. The other thing about capitalism is if you don't want to buy something, no one forces you too. If Jaydee were more popular and in demand they would cost more and have a longer wait time.
  19. This is a bass doc special from a few years back. Layer of real cellulose not printed. From memory it was around £30
