There you go then - the ones on the big cap are bigger. Not the manufacturer - 100% my design! Plus the missed trace, plus that whole bit of the circuit I got wrong

Elecrow - 6 of these for about £3-4 if I did it again I would build the pots onto the board and possibly find a manufacturer who would do the holes a wee bit bigger - they aren’t designed for my mistakes!

I did too though if the schematic works it would be easier and cheaper to layout our own board and get a few made up…
  4. I mean you have a compressor there that matches the other bass rig Pedal … so there’s at least one more pedals you *could* get
  5. So less filters and chorus… …or a bigger board!

  8. You added true bypass to an effect you don’t turn off…
  9. ok... so reading that, apart from a bass focus and the existing plugins you're describing a HX stomp (the bigger one) or HX effects Plus they have the added investment in UX, reliability and testing that they would have taken to get the product to the market... So the question for me would be: What is the extra bass specific functionality that you could do? and What can these existing plugins do that existing guitar/bass multifx units can't? the answers to that probably start to define what the hardware looks like and how you might expect the user to use it - and then it's about making it easy for people isn't it?
  10. I think the Alpher basses that have looked most interesting have the same pickup config as yours - I think it looks great
  11. I’m wondering more about seeing the 12 year old overwater and all the stories that must have! (The p looks great too btw)

So I forgot how much pedal building added up if you forget a thing... After the of course I go to start of the valve preamp build and start with the diodes ... except I have one less diode than I need. Somehow the order for one diode and one other IC for something else ended up on me spending £30 on other stuff... in anticipation for the next couple of builds... I was about to order some PCBs and stopped myself, just done the sums on how much everything will cost and we are over £100 for two pedals. One of them is quite complex and bucket brigade chips cost a fair bit but still pause for now. Also any negative experiences of ordering from Tayda?
  13. I need to get some photos of mine... but it's the grey/silver/pewter one on the website
  14. oh is it that one with the confederate flag on it?

  19. Fx loop output with 100% through - send to amp - main output to desk
  20. I think the first step in a successful project is laying out what it is you want to achieve. Or what are you achieving that you couldn't do better another way? Are the effects pluggins you would be using any better/worse than a Zoom MS-60b or similar cheap MFX? What could you do that no-one else is doing, or doing well? Or is it an exercise in using your programming chops for something cool? I dunno, I'm skeptical of such an open brief. One of the cool projects/products I saw was the little Robbie pilot - essentially a pre programmed midi controller for HX stomp - but also really clever in that it made a complex bit of functionality really simple and allowed you to do things simply that previously were difficult.

What are you aiming to do? clone it in a smaller case?
