I sold my HX stomp because I just didn't want to use digital interfaces and the time needed for playing bass - so I can understand that. I got a a C4 synth because for the odd thing I could, I plan to load it with a set of presets that I probably won't ever touch the settings on to make it less complex... but then need to buy or build a USB midi switcher to change between patches... so more complex! (or expensive if I bought one)

+1 I was all set to get a cali76 based on reviews, and sound clips … then I got to try one and it was instant dislike … esp side by side with a spectracomp which I liked

Should of waited for this thread before I bought ouwt! to be fair I think it was the size of the dano that put me off - the valtone clone of the ce-1 was also tempting and fairly cheap

ah cool. I have a colour box that gives the transformer sound.... I can't describe what it sounds like, but I can tell when it's not there!

Glockenklang do this for clean pre style… Sadowsky for less clean style has the passive tone control as well as boost only bass and treble John east as meantioned makes amazing stuff but if you know you like passive instruments that and some external preamp might be the best idea!

You don’t get splatters of cement when you are making pedals? Everyone knows added weight gives more low end response right?? all about the tone

I got a guitar, fixed it up - and never played it. so it’s going… good things: it’s a Squier it’s Japanese it plays lovely Nice neck it comes in a slightly useless bag Its been played and loved lots - cos it’s nice to play I fitted new and nice tuners bad things: Its been played and loved lots - and you can tell, from dents and play wear at Some point the headstock has been broken and fixed the gig bag is frankly useless This plays as nice as a lot more expensive guitars - but the pickups are the weak point. I’m in leeds - ideally I don’t post but can if you really want if I’ve forgotten anything or stuff let me know - I’ll stick it up on basschat for a bit first and then brave Facebook market place oh - and happily swap for interesting bass stuff
