  1. @AndyTravis would be the knob expert on this thread
  2. keep laughing - prices gone silly the last two three years
  3. Im not entirely sure what this is demonstrating Mr League tends to sound good playing whatever... again I'm not sure what I'm demonstrating but here's another good player with a more recent Mexican fender.
  4. you know the answer to all your problems is another wall hanger. And whatever goes on it isn't allowed to be a P.
  5. I did not know that - this is why I try and keep my mouth shut when I don't really know what I'm on about! I like the mint guard. A lot of tort looks wrong compared to the original stuff.
  6. The fellas on OnSong can spit the set out in the key you’re doing them in as PDFs in about 2 seconds…
  7. And you can just sync the Rotas into your calendar. It also can be used to manage the set lists and do the licensing reporting
  8. Churchsuite works really well as a mobile app too

until you turn the purple one into a stingray right?
  10. I was about to say similar - some crazy wierd stuff topped off with a super thick hard sealer. I had one, think it wasn’t silver series and it was fine till I stripped it to try and fix a chip in the finish from the previous owner…
  11. As he then files it into his Fujigen Gakki wardrobe …
  12. @Bassassin- I love you loads, and sometimes dislike you! I bet if someone asked there will be a “oh I found it on a car boot sale for £30” story too
  13. The sweet spot for a p and a MM overlap - you won’t get a “stingray sound” unless you alter the P sound. And vice versa. I also built a crazy bass with Two MM pickups, kinda stingray crossed with L1000 - i had 33 different sound options - and active bass and treble and if anything it was too much! if I were In your situation I would be asking exactly what sound I was looking for - and possibly borrowing or buying then selling a few basses to work out what the answer is before getting the router out. (Or funkles body with the rest of your bass) otherwise it will be very easy to do something irreversible that isn’t what you actually wanted! and, just cos that sounds like I’m on a downer here’s some things I would love the basses to mod on… Swap the P for a dark star. swap for p for a G&L pickup and wire it up like a L1000 Recreate the pickup switching Garry Beers is putting on his basses Dimarzio relentless neck and middle A pair of split ‘51 style pickups like Alpher have been doing A super fat PJ similar to a musicman caprice Leave thr pickups as it is - it needs a Sadowsky preamp! Double P setup but reverse middle pickup Pair of Seymour Duncan New York dual coils Lace Alumatone PJ setup, just cos Ild like to hear these pickups Piezo bridge and maybe a ACG-EQ1
  14. I hate changing key, it’s where my lack of proper musical training shows as I can’t just transpose, and my brain looks at the chord chart and literally would have to rewrite. OnSong is quite good for shifting keys effortlessly and removes that stress.
  15. in Bridgehouse's defence Leo made a similar choice
  16. the guy forming that band is probably not looking for someone with your experience WoT, they probably want someone good, but young and willing to do what they are told for not as good pay and conditions as you would want....

That’s quite some going for your first 3 years!
  18. So if you were going to go active the answer to your previous thread was probably “Sadowsky” 😁 here’s the Japanese made non-roadworn equivalent to yours (though their charcoal frost metallic is darker)
  19. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-BB-VII-A-BB7A-Broad-Bass-/133944723304?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0 another one of what looks like the one Andy used to have
  20. TBH mate I’m not sure you would like the colour of WoTs money - it’s close in colour to clown vomit - but with variations of “copper turd” and “newkie brown puke” added in
  21. Depends - they might have a really clear idea of how to find the right person - from getting an email to sending a pre-writer survey form and faq that then returns to them as a spreadsheet then shortlisting from that, inviting to audition via pre filled out emails … if you’re set up for that then 20 messages on FB from every Tom, Richard or Jaco in the area asking their own random questions or wanting to know different things - or in some cases just waste your time…
  22. I like clown vomit. If you have to pick a name for a colour it's funny. What would you call it?
