  1. Looking good - I've got issues with needing a switching jack (and it still not working) with mine but I'll fix it. It's beginning to look the part (and can set up nicely)
  2. Someone will probably meantion it’s synth stuff lacks a bit, but helix is quite good for bass, lots of guitar stuff too but bass stuff is there. ideally it would be nice to have one or two more bass amps on there, EBS HD , SWR or trace Elliot or something but apart from that I’m trying to think what it’s lacking.
  3. Just so many delays and reverbs now- and interestingly some synth type stuff in the legacy section
  4. I though they would be slowing down but it lust took me 15 min to read the release notes!
  5. Nah @Al Krow plays 5 strings
  6. Such a shame that none of your fellow BBfans live in that little place.... (somewhere near Raynes Park zone 4 )
  7. I came here to tag him too!
  8. Awesome looking basses - odd posing of straps
  9. I’ve seen a bundle of things easily two or three or four times what they would go for here, Japanese stuff 2-3 times what it would cost total to import from ishibashi …. And I saw one item which was probably priced about right. so do a bit of looking around …
  10. I was going to ask what brought about that sale - hope you're ok
  11. a couple of three way switches would be fairly cheap... if you don't want to drill holes in the front of your bass it would be possible to get 3 way slidey type switches and install them inset on the back cavity cover. I did this on an old Yamaha SG I had to add coil taps. Not an ideal situation but lets you try it without any holes on (the front) of your bass.
  12. It’s oft repeated on US based forums that anything imported must be bad and low quality… I find it a odd view point to think that a country can’t build a simple solidbody guitar and then broadcast that view via a advanced technological device made in that country…
  13. I always thought break angle at thr witness point, then mass/stiffness of the anchor point was more critical than surface area contact …
  14. still lovely thing this
  15. What scale length was the 3 and 2 they were cut for?
  16. All you need now is a slot polepiece L1000 - just for comparison obviously!
  17. you would be 20% better player I hear with an extra string
  18. Did they do bound and blocks necks on precisions out of the factory?
  19. was it you or someone else who had worked out these were the same as the Chinese Tokai or something?
  20. There’s one of them in red some fella is selling online - I keep having to pretend I didn’t see it
  21. till they die on you, or till you sell the bass?
  22. man @Owen sees that and it will all get expensive
