  1. I am popping this back up for sale, as I've decided I prefer headed basses, with a very skinny nut. The funds will go towards a headed fretless 6 string ACG to compliment my recently acquired ACG fretted 6er, therefore no trades please. Here we have an immaculate ACG Krell SC E Type, a stunning example of ACG's work. This is a 6 string, tuned B to C, headless, set-neck construction. The scale length is 31.5" and the playability is incredible, the low B is musical and lacks nothing compared to long scale basses. As you will see from the design at the "head end", the strings are held in with grub screws so you can use any strings you want, you are not tied to double ball end strings. This is probably the most beautiful bass I have ever owned, and probably ever will, but sadly needs must. Official listing on the ACG site here >> https://acguitars.co.uk/project/0288-krell-e-type-fretless-6-31-5/ Here's a video of some noodles >> Specs as follows >> Top Wood: Fractal Birch Body Core: White Limba, 55mm thick and Chambered Accent: Purpleheart Body Finish: Satin Lacquer Neck: 3-piece Purpleheart/Wenge with asymmetrical profile Fingerboard: Mac Ebony with Pearwood fretlines at 1/3/5etc Purpleheart in the rest and flat/zero radius Scale: 31.5″ Neck Finish: Satin Lacquer Pickups: ACG FB pickups (stacked sidewinder style humbuckers, wired in parallel, hand wound by Aaron Armstrong) Hardware: ETS tuning/Bridge unit, ACG Headpiece, Dunlop Dual Design Straplocks La Bella RX Nickel Strings (30-130) Pre-amp: ACG DFM 4K (This is the full fat flagship ACG filter preamp) Nut width: 54mm Bridge Spacing: 16.5mm The bass comes with a top of the range Fusion F1 guitar sized gigbag, also in mint condition and a perfect fit, these things retail over £200 and are comparible to the top of the range Mono bags The bass is in perfect condition, never been gigged, home use only. Price is £1900 ono, no trades please. I am selling a 6 string headless ACG in another ad, and I would be willing to do a deal on these as a pair. UK only, but will consider an EU based sale. Shipping, with insurance at buyer's expense. More photos here >> https://photos.app.goo.gl/Losr8JTh3kL6o4iHA I will sort out a proof of ownership photo ASAP. Cheers, Eude

The bass is very lightweight for a 6er, I would in the 8 lbs range. The design is super ergonomic both seated and standing, but without looking like one of those weird ergo basses Official listing on the ACG site here >> https://acguitars.co.uk/project/0211-salace-e-type-headless-6-31-5/ You can also here some sound samples here >> And finally, a video of some noodles here >> Specs as follows >> Top Wood: Flame Koa Back Wood: Mahogany Body Core: Spruce Accent Veneer: Black Body Finish: Satin Lacquer Neck: 3-piece American Ash with slim asymmetrical profile Fingerboard: Cocobolo with flat/zero radius Scale: 31.5″ Back Plate: Koa Neck Finish: Satin Laquer Pickups: 2 x ACG FB (stacked sidewinder style humbuckers, wired in series, hand wound by Aaron Armstrong) Hardware: ETS tuning unit and bridge, ACG Custom Headpiece, Dunlop Dual Design Straplocks, ACG/Newton Custom Nickel Strings (28-125TW), East Low Battery Indicator Pre-amp: East Uni-Pre 4K (3 band with adjustable mids, passive tone control and active/passive switching) Nut width: 54mm Bridge Spacing: 16.5mm The bass comes with a top of the range Fusion Urban guitar sized gigbag, also in mint condition and a perfect fit, these things retail over £200 and are comparible to the top of the range Mono bags The bass is in perfect condition, never been gigged, home use only. 6. Yeah, I think that's way beyond instructing a lawyer, or at the very least small claims!
  7. Interesting. Do D'addario make Fender's flatwounds too? I had a set on a 5 string a while back and I was super impressed with them, they were fairly inexpensive too. I wonder what set they were based on...
  8. They're my favourite string. I used to use DR nickels, I loved the warmer tone of SunBeams, but also the feel and bite of the Nickel LoRiders, Newtone, at least the hex nickel ones seem to sit firmly between the two sonically to my ear, and they last a long ol' time.
  9. Status Graphite sell short scale flats, darned good price too. I think they're made by Picato for them, could be wrong.
  10. Ah yes, roundwound only. If you look to Europe, there's Galli and Tomastik who both make decent flats.
  11. Assuming they go back on @ped's agreement, and to be fair, they have form, you can't go wrong with Newtone strings, made in the UK
  12. Thank you mate, and yeah 4s look so tiny compared to 6s. That 4 has a super skinny 36mm nut too to be fair though.
  13. No, simply an optical illusion I've tried a few multiscale basses, all really nice stuff, but I'm not sure that the fanned frets really makes enough of a difference to me at least. The physics behind it all makes perfect sense, but when it comes to actually just playing, I'm not sure it worth all the hassle. Being a bit of a short arse, and having played a 36" bass for a few years, I just prefer to be able to play without having to worry about the impact on my body. 31.5" just fits me perfectly with no real compromises. The low B at 31.5" works great with good strings, helped massively by luthier voodoo from Alan at AC Guitars, and everything above that seems all the better for the shorter scale. It has the weight and added low end you get from a short scale, with a bit more clarity and definition, and the G and C strings are super sweet and full sounding. Can you tell I love it?
  14. Better pics, and hopefully some audio/video coming, but for now, here's the bass with my 4 string ACG Salace SC E Type from 2024, both 31.5" scale.
  15. Mine arrived last week

    SEI bass

My estimation is that they would be in line roughly with Overwater's pricing these days, I expect you could probably a bit more than that in 2026.

    SEI bass

Their pricelist is 9 years out of date. https://www.seibass.com/_files/ugd/0d5a6d_4f689b24da564e98b41449865297a03d.pdf I'd expect to see some big jumps since then, EVERYTHING went up by a lot between 2017 and now.
  18. Sold
  19. Korg Pitchblack PB-01 Tuner. Simple, solid pedal tuner, great with bass, pretty well known, so I don't need me to go on and on about it. Near mint condition, with box and instructions, only a little residue on the bottom from velcro which I; have removed, which I expect will clean off nicely with a bit of elbow grease. Full info here >> https://www.korg.com/uk/products/tuners/pitchblack/ Moving on as my wife bought me a new tuner for Xmas. Looking for £30 plus postage, UK only. Any questions, just shout. Cheers, Eude
  20. Thank you man, I am indeed a very very lucky boy!
  21. Oh my! It's here, and it's VERY VERY nice! More to follow...
  22. Yup, makes sense. The bass presets in there are brilliant, the only thing that frustrates me is you need to remember where you saved stuff, "U8 Bank 4" makes sense until you power down, but when I power up again the following day, I rarely know what I saved where. I need to write stuff down! Also, it's a little annoying that you can't easily use the compressor and octave together without having to use the Modulation area for the compr, and then you can't use any chorus... I wish they'd have separated out the compressors. Anyway, I'm still very much enjoying mine. I still have my proper pedalboard, but for mucking around, and rehearsal etcs, the ME-90B very much does the job. I was tempted by the GX10, but I get peeved when us bassists are an afterthought. Anyway, I hope you continue to figure it all out.
  23. Did you have the ME-90B before this?
  24. It's done! It will be with me next week, pics to follow once it lands
