2. Hey guys, I'm selling a couple of EHX Pedals. First up is an EHX Big Muff - SOLD Here's the money shot, for all you perverts out there... Had it from new for about 8 years now, I think. Still go the wooden box that came with it too. It's in pretty good nic but it has been gigged. I'm not going to have a stab at what type it is or anything, as I always seem to get it wrong, so it's just a big black muff, OK? Looking for about £35 + postage for this. OK, this is a weird one, an EHX Microsynth - SOLD It's this one Actual pics... Again, this has been owned from new for about 8 years too. Got the box for this too, think I have the original instructions as well... It's been gigged, but it's in good nic too, although, a couple of the rubber slider tips are missing, I'm sure they can be picked up easy though (or nicked off something elses... ) It works not too bad on the bass, great for massive squelchy noises, funky stuff, octaves up and down, and square wave fuzz etc. however it doesn't track very accurately below the A string, although it's better with a passive bass, this can however be used for just crazy noises though. It's pretty much identical to the Bass Version in everything else as far as I'm aware, however I think the bass ones tracks down to the low E string. Oh, it also uses an odd power supply, I think it's 24V, which requires a Euro Adapter, I'm sure you could get a regular plug one from Maplins though, I've just been lazy. Not sure what to ask for this, I've found ones on ebay upwards of about £100. Lets say £75 + postage to start with and see where it goes... I'm totally open to offers on these, if you think the prices are too high then please let me know too. I'd prefer cash however, as far as trades go, I'd be interested in a Boss OC-2 or a AW-3 EDIT******* Oh, totally forgot I've got a Behringer TU300 Tuner to go too - SOLD http://www.behringer.com/TU300/index.cfm?lang=eng I'm not going to lie, it's not brilliant, but a decent stop gap. It won't tune a 5 string, unless it's got a High C Rather than a Low B. It works fine on passive 4 strings, especially if you use harmonics to tune. I've had it about 5 months and I paid £20 for it. I'll take £5 + postage..... Cheers, Eude
right a quick update i'm in the final stages of emails between me and jon. but i'm going to have to save for the deposit over 2 months as ive overspent this month because of moving house. then i'll save each month until its done.
Nice one Nash. I should be starting my own little topic in build diaries soon too! Cheers, Eude
4. Bought a lovely Korg DT-10 Tuner off James. Top bloke, plenty of prompt communication by e-mail. Pedal arrived incredibly well packed, double jiffy bagged if you must know, and in great condition, as described. Thanks James!
5. Absolutely gorgeous mate! Love the Kingwood top. You kept this one quiet eh? Congrats, Eude
6.
Actually, here it is flipped over!
Looking good Dood! He he, that rhymes... Cheers, Eude
7. Hey Jon, cool spec! The flaming on that neck is gorgeous. Are you going for stack knobs like in your mockup? What will the controls be? Cheers, Eude
8. Nice one mate! Looking great. What EMG Pickups are you going for by the way? Cheers, Eude
ok could be an idea. didnt think i would need it as im not using and active eq
Hey Nash, I'm pretty sure that EMGs need a voltage of some sort regardless. If you're wanting to go passive though, Jon's started stocking Delano pickups which are pretty nice, tried some on some older Sandbergs a while ago. These PMVC4 FE/M2's sounded huge! Nice spec by the way, only thing I think you missed is hardware colour, although I reckon black would look pretty nice. Really hope this one comes together. Cheers, Eude
10.
I'm on the hunt for a suitable head (gonna have a peak at the little giants). If that doesn't go well, I way let the cab go, so I'll keep you all posted!! Dan
Hey bud, If the Little Giant ain't suitable and the regular Little Mark is a bit pricey, you should check out the Little Mark 250, can be had for less than £300. I got one last year with an Aguilar GS112 and I'm loving it! I know it's only putting out 150 Watts at 8 Ohms but it's more than replaced the 200W 15" Trace Combo I was using before and I know I can add another GS112 and get all the wattage out of it. 150 Watts with a decent speaker, which you've got already, is good enough for quiet(ish) gigs and for on stage monitoring when using a PA at bigger gigs. Just my 2p. Cheers, Eude
+1 (million). Nash, the JJ basses sound great, they really do. Jon is a damn good chap.
+ another million! You won't be disappointed, plus I doubt it'd cost you much more than a Lakland Skyline Bob Glaub and probably less than one of those new American Standard Fender P Basses... Keep us all posted, sounds like it'd be one hell of a sexy bass! Cheers, Eude
12. Nice one meester Monster, looking great! Eude
13. That bass is gorgeous mate! How's it compare having played Warwicks for so long? Never seen a 4 string Bolin before either, very very nice. Eude
14. Is it wrong that I'm now rocking a semi and I'm only on page 14?! Nice find dmz! EDIT: HOLY KARP! Eude
15. Nice work Gilmour, glad to hear it worked out so well! Eude
16. Has anyone got any pics of any of Mike's Custom Built Cabs? Eude
17.
"Does anyone know what kind of things he's offering?" By the sound of it...anything you want. Speakers, coverings, configurations. I said to him what I was after, and he said "leave it with me and when your ready i'll build them"
Oooooh, now that's even more tempting then! That's got my mind racing now... Yet another thread that's not good for my GAS! I think I need some Rennies! Eude
18. I really like the sound of these! I bought a MarkBass Little Mark 250 and an Aguilar GS112 from Mike last year and was really very pleased with the service, and amazed at Mike's ability to talk forever even though I kept telling him I was at work! As much as I like the 1X12, I'm tempted to get a couple of 1X10 cabs made up so I can get the full wattage out of the MarkBass and to have the flexibility of two cabs... Does anyone know what kind of things he's offering? Maybe I should just give him a call. I'll post anything I find out. Cheers, Eude
19. Nice work Gilmour! That looks amazing! I've been GASing for an Omni 12 Tall Boy for a while, and you're really not helping... Glad it came together so well though, credit to your craftsmanship. Cheers, Eude
20. There's a few guys on talkbass.com who've got their hands on the new American Std. Precision V. Apparently it kicks serious ass and is what all the P Bass purists have been waiting for... Cheers, Eude
21. Got mine couriered too. As with everyone else, the set up was what I asked for too. If you've got graphite rods in the neck, it'll hardly shift at all anyway! Cheers, Eude
22. Consider yourself PM'd Pete! Cheers, Eude
23. You could just go with a grill cloth maybe? Perhaps a nice sliver one for a cool vintage vibe... Would afford at least a little protection, keep dust out and probably wouldn't add much weight-wise at all... Just my 2p Eude
