If manufacturers were required to quote their power ratings in a way that they were all comparable, and accountable to a certain degree, I think things would be very different. I've gigged with 100 - 200 W amps back in the day, pre class D and never ever wanted more power. If Trace are being honest about their ratings, then surely 200 actual watts will be enough for most people, and as a bonus it fits snugly into the back pocket of lady jeans... Eude

I get the impression that although this might be rated low by modern class D standards, I know that Mark at Ashdown isn't the biggest fan of class D stuff, so I'd guess the power section here might be something different, either that or an extremely conservatively rated (i.e. honest) class D effort. Cool. I used to use their strings years and years ago, having them custom wind a 6 string bass set was cheaper than buying DRs from a UK based shop, this is pre-internet of course! I got back into using them as ACG started speccing them on their basses as standard, I've since met Neil who took over from Malcom, the original owner, and he's totally sound too. Delighted to be using British strings, never mind the fact that they are also bloody amazing! Eude

I get them made up for my 31.5" 6 string and 4 string basses, they can work wonders! Nope, it's been deleted. To be honest, there are louder class D amps out there, including newer ones by Ashdown. They do pop up now and again on here though, as do their predecessors which have a more extensive EQ section. Eude

I've not used it much in anger as yet, but it's very capable considering the size. The best comparison would be a 2x10 combo if you've tried anything like that? Although, it's hand having the second 1x10 cab up nearer your ear, rather than on the floor. Eude
