2.
Thanks Ewan for your kind reply Cheers Svend
No problem, if you've got any other questions, don't hesitate to ask
  3.
beautifull bass. What is weight of the bass. ? What about the balance of the bass, does it suffer from any neck diving, playing it sitting and standing ? Al the best Svend
HI Svend, I've just weighed the bass and it's a little over 9 pounds or 4.15kg in new money. As far as balance goes, on a strap it's perfect, no neck dive whatsoever, on the lap it's a tiny bit tricky because of the smaller lower horn, but no more so than say a Warwick, and the thicker body helps compensate too. Cheers, Eude
  4.
I'm an electric player, 5 string. The low end is good, don't know how the roll off specs compare (nowhere near the BB2), but I like the sound it produces, no lack of bass for me, but i'm not doing reggae!. I use mine with a GK MB800 ( i know it's more powerful than the Crazy 8 should handle) it sounds fine with input gain at 11 oclock and master at 12 oclock with my basses. I have the bass at 12 oclock with the crazy8, but back it off to 10 oclock with the BB2. Crazy8 takes slapping on the B string at this level. I wasn't expecting the Crazy8 to handle this as well as it does, it was bought to do restaurant gigs where i have to carry a distance. Turns out I use it in medium sized pubs with 5 piece band...electric piano, bass, drums, sax and vocals. I think the Crazy88 would be great, but weighs in at more than the BB2. The Crazy8 i have weighs 20lbs, has the newer rear port, from Tricky audio, nicely built.
Thanks for the info mate, they do sound like they're defying the laws of physics, but who said that was a bad thing Eude
  5.
I've owned an EA wizzy10 and found it had poor low end performance and farted out very early. I've owned and use BF cabs, they're great and also recently bought a Greenboy Crazy 8, which blows the EA wizzy10 out the water. The Crazy 8 exceeds all expectations i had. The BF ONE10 doesn't have a tweeter, so for my tonal preferences that's why I went for the Crazy 8
I've been reading a lot about these 'Crazy' cabs. How much low end do they actually put out? Have you tried the Crazy88 too? Oh, and finally, how good are they with electric bass, and I think they were originally intended for Double and Acoustic Bass use... Cheers, Eude
  6.
But then the side dots would be in the wrong place!
That might require a little more work, leave it with me ;-) Eude
  7.
Relieved this is a lined fretless, otherwise my bank account would be hurting right now!
I could always colour them in for you?... Eude
  8.
Love the lack of string retainer on the Tchib headstock. Looks super clean and very sexy. Love it!
Ah, it's very clever, it's actually an angled headstock, which does away with the need for the retainer and yes, it's super clean and sexy Eude
  9. Thanks guys. To me, the Tchib is more of a 'Superstrat' and the Skelf more of a chunky rock guitar. I may well tune one to B standard for some serious metal riffage though Glad you like the guitars! Eude
  10. Holy Sh1t Balls - that is gorgeous! Congrats matey Eude
  11.
What's the nut width and string spacing at the bridge? k..
Hey mate, the nut width is 45mm and the spacing at the bridge is 18mm, standard ACG setup, very comfortable on a 5er. Cheers, Eude
  12.
Really like both of those! Congratulations
Thanks dude, I'm one lucky bloke! Eude
  13.
Wow...beautiful top....thankfully I don't play 5ers or fretless...bank account is safe for the next little while.. GLWTS
Thank you mate. BUMP with some more pics! Eude
  14.
I've played this and it's a beautiful bass, really fantastic neck! And of course Eude is a legend to deal with! Si
Very kind mate, thank you Eude
  15. Hey guys, up for sale is my ACG Finn SC fretless 5 string. It’s no secret that I’m a massive ACG fan, I’m only selling this to fund a new more suitable build (shorter scale and with more strings), so absolutely no trades please :-) This bass is absolutely beautiful with a sound to match. It has a 33” scale which makes it easier to play than a 34” and brings a nice sweetness to the upper register, without sacrificing any tension on a the low B as the thing is so bloody well made! It's a set neck and has a lovely carved heel providing great access to all the notes at the dusty end. The body is deeper than normal, 50mm, however it’s chambered which I believe really adds some warm and presence particularly suited to a fretless bass. Here’s some sound samples >> https://soundcloud.c...retless-samples - apologies for the playing... The bass has ACG's EQ03 filter preamp, it's a veritable swiss army knife, allowing you to really dial in on that perfect fretless tone. It has two low filters, one per pickup which lets you set up the bass for two extremely different sounds, or blend the two for a really complex and detailed tone. You can read more about ACG's filter preamps here >> http://www.acguitars...es/electronics/ and you can download the PDF instructions for the preamp here >> http://www.acguitars...df/ACG_EQ03.pdf In simple terms the preamp takes the best of Wal and Alembic filter preamps and really delivers a useful and powerful way to discover great tones. It's currently strung with DR Sunbeams, but I have some Fender flats cut to length which I can include or fit instead. The bass is pretty much mint, it has been played a fair bit but has never been gigged. There’s some marking on the fingerboard from playing with round wounds (basses are made to be played though), however I’ll give the fingerboard a nice oiling before it goes out. Here’s the specs >> Top: Tasmanian Burl Myrtle Accent: 4mm Sycamore Body: American Cherry Chambered Neck: 5 Piece Maple/Bubinga with gently rounded asymmetrical profile Fingerboard: Ebony with Maple fret lines and zero (flat) radius Scale: 33” Pickups: 2 ACG Overwound Single Coils Preamp: ACG EQ03 4K Filter with low battery indicator Hardware: Hipshot A Type Bridge and Gotoh Resolite Tuners (Black) Weight: 9.15lbs (4.15kg) Price includes a Hiscox hardcase, but I can supply a Fusion F1 gigbag for an additional £50, and won’t ship without one or the other. Shipping to UK only, at this stage, at buyers cost, but will consider shipping overseas. Price: £1300 - again, no trades please! UPDATE with some pics >> You can see more piccies on ACG's website >> http://www.acguitars...tless-5-string/ Any questions, requests etcs, let me know! Cheers, Eude

Ha ha, that would be nice! There's not really any guitar shops worth visiting round my way, and I'm not going to lug them all up to the Bass Gallery - they've probably had someone try something similar before anyway ;-) Eude
