1. Gorgeous. Is it just me, but has Jon really sped up his progress these days? He built my first custom 6 years back in a matter of weeks, then things slowed a bit, looks like he's back on track Eude
 2. Post holiday bump!
 3.
Ditto. If I had any talent or maybe just the cash I probably would have had this before any of you chaps had a chance to even see it. But alas I have neither and that means this fantastic bass is going begging for an incredible price. Someone must be interested surely?

Can't believe this is still here. If only I could buy some talent to go with it
It doesn't require talent to 'own' a fretless!
 4.
Is it true that you're 6' 10" and a former linebacker for the Pittsburgh Steelers?
I was, until I was shrunk by an evil genius by means of a shrink ray!
 5. Yet another BUMP!
 6. Brilliant strings and they will custom wind to your needs too. I have a couple of short scale ACG basses, one of them being a 6 string tuned B to C. There's obviously some luthier voodoo in there to make it work, but the Newtone strings definitely play a big part. Besides this, they also sound and feel really really nice too. Highly recommended! I also hope they start making Flatwounds soon... Eude
 7. Thanks dude, it is a peach, just not quite what I want/need now. Come on folks, nobody want an amazing single cut 33" 5 string fretless? Eude
 8. Great demo again WoT. The amp sounds a lot more HiFi to my ear compared to the first HandBox amp, equally nice though, just different. I'd be keen to see/hear the Dual Channel Class D amp they've got coming too, although I am starting to think that I'm not going to be happy with anything bar solid state these days... As far as your demos go, I agree, it's so much better to hear something familiar and repetitive to get a real feel for how something sounds and how it compares to others. There's nothing worse than a demo for an amp where the player just shows off making it impossible to actually figure out how the gear in question actual sounds in real life. Keep it up man, don't let the haters get you down Cheers, Ewan
 9. Pure filth Gorgeous guitar mate, glad you're happy with it. Eude
 10. Another BUMP maybe? Willing to entertain sensible offers, but no trades thank you, this will be instantly replaced by a new ACG, already have my spec all worked out. Cheers, Eude
 11.
I love this bass.
It is a bit of a peach, and still available Eude
 12.
The Reiver. Was torn between that and the TKO as I've never had a tele but the Reiver just jumped out at me. I keep looking at that thread and willing the month to end so I can get paid and get my hands on it!
The Reiver shape is wonderful, the ever so slightly reverse offset makes it extremely comfortable to play seated or standing. You're going to love it! Eude
 13.
Already paid the deposit on one Very excited to be joining the ACG family.
Excellent, which one did you go for?...
 14. Can't believe there's been no interest here! One last bump type bump... Eude
 15.
Not sure if anyone who's been thinking about an AGC has seen this thread here:- http://basschat.co.u...86-guitar-sale/
Yup, if you want a custom made high end guitar at a very good price, I thoroughly recommend giving Alan a call! I would if I didn't have two already Eude
 16.
I do not currently but I'll throw some together in my free time this week. I think Tim put standard DRs on it, not sure exactly what type but they're rounds. The low B is D'Addario.
That's extremely kind of you mate, look forward to hearing/seeing it and thanks for the info on your strings too Eude
 17.
I've also just seen the M Bass 500 Mini Head on their site, which also looks very nice. Not sure if it's shipping yet, but looks like they're taking orders. GAS!!!
I quite like the look of that too, however I think I'd prefer that front end with the back end of WoT's head Eude
 18.
I have a Callowhill MPB short scale 5 string and, to my ears, it's the best low B I've played. its one of the few Bs IME that's useable beyond the 4th fret. There's nothing special about the neck construction (one piece maple, maybe quartersawn?), the luthier said it was to do with angles at the bridge and nut. The only thing I've done is test a few gauges of low B (125, 130, 135) and, not surprisingly, the 135 was the best.
Hey mate, have you got any sound/video clips of the bass in use, especially the low B? Also, what strings are you using, have you gone custom, or are you going off the shelf? Cheers, Eude
 19.
No examples, it's a bit of a leap of faith, but I trust Jon. The decals for the finish are coming from a custom car parts firm. I want a matt finish (with a black volume knob on a black strip) . The ramp will be a bit simpler, probably smaller, with the thumb rest part a tad nearer to the strings.
Nice one mate. I can see what you mean about the ramp. Having it feel a bit more like a regular pickup position would be more useful. Eude
 20. Very cool mate, I'll be watching this one with interest! Any examples of how the finish will look? Oh, and what are you changing about the ramp? I think the current one looks pretty cool! Eude
 21.
Am I right in thinking the longer the scale, the tighter the B?
Indeed, that's the basic physics of it, but there's lots of other things in play that can also effect it. A badly designed, assembled and setup 36" bass could end up having a worse low B than a 30" one in that respect. Eude
 22.
I've played this bass and can confirm it's a lovely instrument. Eude is a delight to deal with and I routinely use him to model all my basses for sale.
Ha ha, thanks mate
 23.
Agreed. Also, I'm pretty sure the Ibanez production 33" scale bass (BTB33) is tuned E-C, so the low B wouldn't be applicable :-) So basically, if you want a nice 33" scale bass with a good low B, custom build is your only option!
Yup, I think you're probably right, however I wonder if anyone has tried stringing up that BTB33 with a low B? I'm fairly sure it'd be OK, but yeah a custom build would most likely be better. Eude
 24.

I'm not sure using me to model the bass is a good idea, you might put folks off Eude
