I would love to see an affordable, but quality Fender branded Musicmaster Bass reissue, with a better pickup. Hardly innovation, but I think that's the only itch left to scratch that would probably appeal to Fender heads. I know there have been some wild things over the years too, but I doubt they'd be commercially viable.

Couple of days in, but man alive this cab is incredible! So much slam, punch, and the sound pressure this thing produces is incredible, I was actually quite shocked, it was like standing too close to a proper PA rig. The build quality is impeccable. It's a lightweight cab, but extremely solid, reassuringly so. I purposely left my amp set as I last used it at home with 2 x Barefaced One10s which had a combined load of 4 Ohms, the Monza on it's own, at 8 Ohms was so loud I had to turn it down. The Monza also reproduces the low B on my 6ers much more effectively, which i was really looking for. I don't mean to poo poo the One10s, they're great cabs, especially given the size and weight, but they're just too vintagey for me. The Monza definitely hits everything I was looking for, and then some I imagine. I hope to get out to jam soon, so I can test it at proper volumes, but I'm extremely confident it will deliver I should also add how great Stevie was to deal with, an absolute gent and clearly exceptionally talented! Another vote for LFSys here. I've just replaced two Barefaced One10s with a single LFSys Monza, the 1x10 cab. It's only been a couple of days, but leaving all the settings as they were using the two One10s, the single Monza cab, at 8 ohms, was actually louder and had so much more punch. It's light but solidly built, impressively so. I always find the Barefaced stuff feels a little flimsy, although they are actually pretty darned solid. I imagine an LFSys Monaco would do the job perfectly!

Folks who do, or did a scroll upper horn that I can recall include, Carl Thompson (the original), Hilton, Huff (who went down in flames owing a lot of people money/basses), Eve (don't think they're going anymore), May (still going, but the article probably predates him), and Gnome I think was another one? If the builder was UK based I think it might've been Eve? There's probably loads more out there but brain fade prevents full recall... 😎

I could never deny Fender's enormous importance in the world of electric bass, but "Innovation" is not a word I ever really associate with Fender these days, have the innovated anything in the last few decades?...

I have to say, you can colour me interested in this amp too. It sounds incredible in the BassTheWorld clip, but they usually do when someone as talented as Rene Flächsenhaar plays through it and it's recorded SO well...
