2.
Cheers bud. We make the official announcement this week... but it kicks off in the Deen on the 18th then we make our way down to London stopping off on a few venues in between.
Will try and catch you in London if I can!
  3. Our very own Sk8 is having something similar built by Mike of Zoot/Purple Chilli fame. Its going to be 34" scale, but Mike is scaling the body up accordingly >> http://basschat.co.uk/topic/196521-custom-telecaster-bass-build/ Eude
  4. Gorgeous! Love to see shorter scale 6ers too
  5.
Well, today the first of two TKS D2126 "Bass Mayhem Edition" arrived. The next one arrives during next month, due to late order from my side. It will be exactly the same, no tweeters. Black tolex on the box, crème on the front frame, Fender tweed era cloth over metal mesh. Nice, eh...?
That is just not fair - absolutely gorgeous! One day, hopefully soon, I'll be placing an order with Meester TKS, I'm absolutely smitten. Eude
  6.
YES! GET IN! Just ordered my new custom spec Sandberg! Gotta wait til week 5 now though.....
Nice one!
  7.
I used the Neo 112 at last night's gig. It sounded bloody great! So round and punchy. The notes were even right across the board. And it's 8kgs. Crazy.
Such a cool looking setup! I'd better start saving I guess...
  8. Do you reckon this'll mean some cool new kit from Fender? I hope so. They made some pretty nice combos a while back, this one in particular was VERY good >> http://www.musiciansfriend.com/amplifiers-effects/fender-bassman-150-bass-combo-amp As was the 10" version. They didn't seem to produce anything particularly exciting after they acquired SWR though, and naff all since the bought Genz Benz, if anything it all got a bit worse. Fender have always made nice guitar amps, but have always seemed to lag behind a bit with the bass stuff...

  12.
You could... I've plunked on this for the last hour or so and it sounds very nice indeed...
That's not helping! Lovely looking setup. I must start writing my letter to Father Christmas... Eude
  13. Brilliant! (wasn't ever in any doubt of it being anything but...)
  14.
Not posted anything on the forum for a while, but here goes... Aguilar AG500SC with two DB112s and a P bass. This rig cured my GAS... 15. Holy Moly! That is gorgeous mate, you must be pretty chuffed? Eude
  16.
Assembly almost completed.
That is gorgeous mate! You must be VERY excited! Eude
  17.
I got one Loving it. Got a VS112 to go with it and should be getting a VS115 next week. The Fender Excelsior next to it is modded for bass too (was good before mods too)as is the EVJ.
Very nice mate! How does the VS112 compare to your outgoing RS112?
  18.
Hi Alan, I saw the Paul Simon concert on BBC4 on Friday and I think Bakithi Kumalo was playing one of your basses. Looked like a Recurve SC S type.
Really? Man that's VERY cool! Would love to see some screen caps or something.
  19. I've played nothing but 33" basses for several years now, 4, 5 and 6 strings and I've not had any problems using regular bass strings, just avoid ones designed for extended scale lengths and you'll be just fine. I went up a gauge, from 40/60/80/100 to 45/65/85/105, but there's very little change in feel if I'm honest. Eude
  20.
Not sure if this qulifies as a daft question or not, but do the ACG SCs in general have the asymmetric neck carve?
All ACGs have that carve, unless the customer wants something a bit more traditional feeling.
