1. I have gigged one of these solidly for the past 2.5 years now in a 5 piece (loud) covers band and various originals projects and it has never let me down. It's loud enough for all but the hugest of venues. One hand lift, simple but great features and a great crystal clear and rounded tone. Can't praise it enough, it has more than paid for itself in terms of petrol, ease of transport and sound quality. Add an 8ohm extension cab and it pumps out a ridiculous 500w+! I believe the head is essentially the same as the little mark 2. Not surprised this is the first one I've seen for sale on here, they're keepers for sure.
2. Would you consider selling the cream J cover separately if you found the black?
3. Needs a black pickguard/white pickup cover I would never get a pink bass but that looks awesome!
4.
or bits from a disintegrating foam mute?
Regardless, that's in need of a good clean! At the price he's asking it's the least he can do.
5. Literally can't believe this is still here.
6. Hmm pink () wouldn't go with that Orange head (which I still haven't used yet - it would be sacrilege to run it through anything other than an Orange/Matamp cab - I'm thinking of getting a 8/4 ohm switchable 2x12) Anyway, buy from Steve in complete confidence, what a lovely chap!
7.
This was my first amp. Brings back memories!!
Me too!! Still have mine in storage somewhere (i overheated it a while back). Perfect practise/rehearsal amp and a great price.
8.
What's the matter wiv u, I told you already last week! Thanks anyway. I've only just considered investing in screws. It's a big financial commitment y'know.
9. Um, the ones for attaching bridges and truss rod covers. In gold. Where do I get them??
10.
I have a bridge Fender P-bass cover but not the neck one. I'd trade that for the Jazz bridge one if it gets you started?
That's a possibility. Aren't the neck ones the same on both or am I mistaken?
11.
It's bloody handy when they are though! The best live sound I have ever had -- and one of the very best we've had as a band -- was by our very own Joe Garcia
+1 My best sound - on stage and out front - was done by a singer/guitarist of local band 'Kingskin' (good stuff, check it out!) working at the Boileroom in Guildford.

13.
Had the same problem with another P-copy last week. Turned out that some of the shielding in the cavity had come free; when the tone knob went past about 80% it started to brush against some shielding and robbed most of the signal.
Sounds like a possibility, especially having been shipped from across the globe! I'll have a fondle tonight, thanks.
14. For what it's worth I found it difficult in both my 3 piece originals (with acoustic guitar) and 5 piece covers bands to get my old Ray 5 to really cut through and sound defined using my Markbass CMD 121H combo. Since then my new Schecter Custom 5 has in fact garnered much praise from people saying it just sounds so much better in the mix through the same amp; much more rounded and bassy. I have to admit I much prefer my £175 Schecter to the £700 Stingray in terms of both bedroom playing and gigging. It does the bass's job so much more effectively. Just goes to show you can't always rely on the high end gear to deliver on all fronts. I get the impression that EBMM basses are designed to sound nice soloed but when introduced into a working band situation can be a bit too mid and top heavy to be really defined in the bottom end. IME they share a lot of frequencies with both the electric and acoustic guitars, and so their famous 'midrange punch', ultimately, was for nowt!
15. I bought a fernandes P/J copy from a Japanese shop online and since it's come in I can't put it down. Its knobs are set up vol/tone/tone. The issue I have is that if I roll the P pickup's tone knob above, say, 3/4, there is a steep drop in volume. Before that it's fine and actually puts out a fair amount. I know the dealer had replaced the pots with MIJ ones and the J pickup with a Lindy, and yet the J knob works fine. Any ideas?
16. Bumpity bump! I also have a set of Kent Armstrong Jazz pickups FT for the covers.... Or I'd consider a trade for the p'ups and the covers with a set of gold tuning knobs.
17. As the title says - all feedback greatly appreciated!

SOLD

I bought this from eBay a week or so ago but I now have my eyes on the EBS Unichorus so this must go to make room on me new 'board! These pedals appear from time to time and are great value pedals. They retain the low end brilliantly and if you factor in the stereo functionality then it presents many possibilities. This particular one is in excellent condition with no problems besides the obligatory paint scratches. You can hear it in use to great effect by Billy Gould on The Real Thing. Will consider part exchange but there will be no cash from my direction until the 25th (payday), so as a sale price I'll do £28 posted. This includes a 9v adapter lead I bought t'other day that allows it to be run without a battery. I'll also throw in a battery (I have enough of them knocking about!!)
19. Bought a set of Kent Armstrong Jazz pickups from the fella. 'Tis good stuff!!
