1. I love Andy Fraser.
 2. I played this song in my first ever band fingerstyle and I don't remember it being an issue of speed - more endurance!!
 3. Yeah that's fair enough for an as new bass+case. Might have to settle for a round £300 though
 4. I'm tempted myself but that's almost 1/4 of an Orange bass terror..... Clicky.
 5. Aaaaah! *Tries in vein to hurry along his SR5's eBay auction*
 6.
Thanks, All my others are maple boards, lovely aren't they?
I've never owned one! All the 5 basses I've owned have been rosewood and I really fancy a bit of maple =] If this had a maple board I'd be smothering it with a drool encrusted pillow.
 7.
Really wanted to keep this but I don't play it because I've bought a brace of USA Precisions and even though my hands are quite small I get along really well with them soo... 2008 Fender Jazz deeluxe made in Mehico where it seems, all the good ones are coming from these days. This one is fitted with Noiseless pickups, is finished in pale yellow for the confident among us has a lovely action and a nice straight neck. As you can see from the pictures it still has the instructions sticker by the controls! There is one small ding (pictured) near the jack socket and it's not that noticeable and the rest is mynt. I don't have the gigbag for it but I will give a free Sound labs hardcase that is in very good condition with it. I would like £425 for it including next day courier delivery. The only part ex I would consider is a USA Precision with cash your way. Thank you for looking. Tom.
Why can none of these have maple fretboards!?!? Lovely bass!
 8.
Pickups on the Westbury are Di Marzio's, old Model P's i think. Awesome sounding basses. I had one as my first bass about fifteen years ago and regreted getting rid of it so much, i finally bought another one a couple of weeks ago. Any chance of some pics of your bridge conversion?
I would try and get some tonight but my younger brother is currently borrowing it to learn on. A great first bass. di Marzio - them's the ones! Monumental output for a passive bass. I'm gonna have to try and get it back soon I'm hankering after it now!
 9.
Current squeeze Westbury Track 2 - £61 delivered from Fleabay, replaced the bridge & switch & it's a stunner.
First time I've heard anyone mention those on here! My mum handed me down one as my first bass in black with a tort pickguard. I still have it, though I had to change to bridge too though, weird curved thing it was! I haphazardly stuck a badass imitation on it (had to fit a shim in the hole) and it's still awesome. The stock pickups are great (EMG??) - really high output! I'm not using it for gigs at the moment because of an earthing issue I can't be arsed to get sorted. Probably should though... Great little instrument it is! Couple of months back I grabbed a Schecter Stiletto Custom 5 (the natural finish ones with gold hardware) + Warwick Rockbag + a Tuner for £175 delivered from eBay. This I have strung with Rotosound Tru Bass strings and use for all my gigs at the moment. It's an absolute steal and why I can gladly part ways with my Stingray 5!
 10. I would take a pic of my MarkBass CMD 121H fitting snugly in the boot my R reg Citroen saxo with the bass happily lazing across the back seats, but no one needs to see that. How boring!
 11. That's pretty attractive for £200 actually. Neck thru too! But no, I wouldn't buy it!
 12.
hacked up japcrap I'd guess. It hasn't just been hit with the ugly stick - I think it IS the ugly stick
I lol'd.
 13.
SOLD pending payment
Not surprised!
 14.
Amazed this hasn't gone yet. I had a 2002 model in the exact same pg/colour/headstock combo. Only sold it because I was old and foolish.
Yeah I'm a little perturbed myself! Hopefully and regrettably eBay will be the answer! Potential to get this as cheap as £700 so long as competition remains light. Its BIN is £850.
 15.
Nope. The badass bridge is too big.
Furry.
 16. Is it possible to fit a bridge ashtray cover to this?
 17.
I'm afraid I just sold me Singray 5! I've got over 18 basses matey! Sorry BigJim
Blimey; fair enough! Theo.
 18. Ebay Link! Original FS/FT thread! Thanks and good luck to any potential bidders! Theo.
 19.
FYI I'm trying a Stingray 5 today to let you know how I get on!
Ok cool, be in touch!
 20.
It is the best finish I've seen on a Stingray 5, I prefer the rosewood also - more depth!! Semi Acoustic Fretless Bass with Lines (preferably ebony board) sounds like my idea of heaven...
Yeah sounds like a good'un. Anyway I've done it. Was getting nowhere with this and as it's reached well over 1000 views I've gone and listed in on weebay. Good luck!
 21. I love it. Nicest brown painted bass I've seen. True. I'd offer you to trade with my SR5 but that would be nonsense.
