Really interested in this - for 3 years of constant use what kind of condition is it in?
Hi; there is a bit of wear, some of the paint has come off on the lettering but you don't need that. The battery door works fine but one of the "wings" has come off (in fact I prefer it off, means you don't have to be so precise putting the door back on "around" the battery. It's got a brand new duracell battery in it. I will take some pics tonight (pedal is currently at rehearsal room) while I wait for some replies; bear in mind the 'phantom power' button has come off but MXR kindly sent me a replacement which is in my drawer now so that'll be put on.

Wollop! I'm sure most of you know already what this is/does (very, almost identically, similar functionality to the sansamp thingy people rave about, but underrated by comparison - I personally believe the sansamp is a little overrated in actual fact, this is much more useful if you're after distortion, as it has a separate channel for't), but for those who don't: GOOGLE!! It's in good condition for 3 years of constant use. I'm selling because I'm looking to diversify my effects and I find I get a really sweet tubey crunch with my EHX Black finger, rendering this redundant (I've only ever really used it for the wicked distortion!) This is a really handy little box of tricks, as any online review will likely tell you. So let's say trades for effects or small powerful(ish) combos or maybe a cabinet. I bought this new when it was brand new for £200, so I'd like to ask £80 plus shipping for this if people are interested in a cash purchase: I'll be looking at trades first though, I'm not desperate for the money, just a new sound! I do have a feedback thread if you want to check my compatability with your stuff/money Thanks. Theo.
Bought Stuart's 4 string set of Elites that Santa delivered in error. Really nice bloke, great to deal with. Cheers Stuart, and all the best, Pete.
Bought set of 5 used la bella flats, the G came unwound as I tightened it; not being one to complain about second hand strings i merely put up a thread in the wanted section asking for a single string; stuart got back to me with the offer of a spare g he had at no extra cost! Top stuff, thanks mate. The rest of the strings sound awesome, by the way! =]
It's Wamsley btw . And yeah great player, he's really down to earth and quite frankly a little bit mental - I loved seeing him at Bass Day 06. He's chums with Steve Lawson too..
Ah! It's cos I have a friend called Gary walmsey Taught by manring too! But I prefer him, a lot more musical in his approach.

Great groove! I don't find solo bass pieces interesting unless they incorporate rhythms well; this one certainly does! awesome stuff... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1qTd2c72GM...feature=related

It's not but I was looking to swap it for something a little different. I'm considering saving up for an extension cab for it instead though now, I got it at a really good price new over a year ago - still haven't seen it for less new anywhere online so I got a good deal and it's a nice little amp, just a little underpowered for what I need it for at the mo (covers + originals bands playing mostly large pubs). It serves its purpose though, just need to squeeze that extra power out of it!
Two questions please: 1 How well does this operate with an active bass? 2 Is it still for sale? Thanks Dave
I can answer 1) for you; It makes my Stingray 5 sing. Adds really nice tubey warmth too with a turn of the pregain knob. The two light settings for compression; led and lamp; allow for a nice versatility, especially with the "sqsh" function affecting the lamp mode which provides high levels of compression that are still wonderfully musical thanks to the valves. Works really well live too, it's really powerful. You might find some people complaining about the pedal creating noise through tweeters, but if you have a variable tweeter you'll have no problems turning it off. The VLE feature on my mark bass combo sorts this out for me =]
