    New Price Drop : £5300 - No Trades Thanks. Hello Basschatters For sale is my Fodera II Elite 5 Strings. Never really used Year: 2011. Full Quilted Maple top. Ash body Birdseye Maple board Blocks in abalone 24 frets 35" Black hardware (original gold hardware swapped for Fodera black hardware, still have the gold hardware) Hipshot detuner Ramp (maple) Seymour Duncan pickups. Preamp Pope (new version) Weight: 4.9kgs Fodera case Owned the bass since 2015, brought from basschatter bipbip62. Never gigged or been outside the house. Lived in a smoke free home. Bass has one some small ding on the front of the bass as seen in the photo. Put down a deposit for an alleva coppolo so am looking for a straight sale. Price doesn't include postage (unless say 30 mile away of London....) so buyer to cover that.

    For some reason the Lull basses don't appeal to me....but again not a fan of their headstocks (not sure what what my issue with headstocks are) Bravewood weren't interested in a 5 string (thought it would be perfect) and I haven't approached Crimson yet. Read a few reviews where he didn't come off so well so thought again. Also the waiting time is long. Anyone have any experiences with Crimson?

    Thanks Markstuk, do you have any experience with Shuker? I'm aware of his work but to be honest don't like some of his designs (particularly the headstock). However I like some of his work in the gallery.

    Thanks for the reply guys. My budget is about £2000 and I want to keep it British. Partly because want to support british businesses, ease of communication and checking on progress.

    Fellow Basschatters I've looking out for an Alleva 5 string KBP (with maple fretboard) for a while, I'm aware I may have a wait on my hands. So I'm wondering if anyone could recommend any luthiers out there that could make a custom 5 string precision bass for me? I kinda like the way a Nash bass looks, if they came as 5 strings, I'd probably go down that route. Any advice guys?

    I would be very interested if I could give it a try. Never played one before but that's a lot of money to risk on a bass without playing. If you're next in London, I'd be interested in having a tryout.

    Hey Basschatters, Looking for recommendation for reputable luthiers in London and the home counties. Having some crazy fretbuzz issues with my fodera that I need someone (that knowns their stuff) to have a look at. Hoping the bass won't need a refret but if anyone has had any positive experiences please let me know. Cheers Reg

    I'm selling my pair of hartke cabs - 410 and 115 XL series (made in USA). I am the second owner however these have had little use from me as haven't been gigging for a while and looking to have a clear out. Great pair of cabs, would be pleased to see them go to a new home. £320 for both.
