Guitar shops in Liverpool are poop. Especially for bass. You could try Moran sound.

The same with me. I play 4 stringers now, shame I couldn't have worked that out before buying a few custom 5/6/7 string basses

I have a build thread on this forum.
A fine example of a fretless bass with all the growl and mwah you could want. It also has some major carving on the bottom bout of the bass.
I should try and pry les out of retirement to build a few basses in my workshop.

Although I'd change the bottom horn a little. Make it a bit pointier like the top one.

I've been in touch with rob at weinbrock amps about a bass amp. He says he has a bass amp in production called a MB-5B.
It is a 2 channel amp valve amp, 100 watts.
Anyone heard about these? I've only heard good things about weinbrock so it could be very interesting!

We should probably decide on a fretboard first as we might have to compromise with the board being so big.
As for wood. I'd go for mahogany.

Sorry I haven't updated the thread. All of the pedals have gone. Only the boss limiter compressor (rack mount) left.
