1.
1987 to be precise! Gold hardware, poncy thru-neck, active electronics. Sadly not a hideous shade of pink or at all pointy... Alex
Nice looking Warwick there mate!
2. Hi Guys, Thanks for the kind words - ive never been a huge fan of the custom Overwaters, they have all been fantastic basses and nothing wrong with them, but sound wise they just didnt "do it" for me. As for the Jazzes, im really really really GASsing for one, so im thinking ill put away cash now and within a few months ill get it on the build.
3. So does this mean you're sticking with the Precision/Jazz combo now Al? Have you still got those lovely Lakkies? Im so out of touch i need a gear update!
4. Oh my - I think ive just soiled myself....
5. Torty!
6. Hi Guys n Gals, Ive been thinking (uh oh) and ive been scourering the for sale forums for a while for a top notch 5 string Jazz bass, and was incredibly close to buying Ped's and currently Waldo's lovely Bacchus Jazz, however I had to pull out of the sale due to the buyers of my Ibanez Gary Willis and Jazz Bass pulling out. Im thinking about saving up some moolah and getting to grips with this: http://www.overwaterbasses.com/bass.aspx?t...mp;e=34&c=7 I now there are a few owners of Overwater J basses on here, I wanted to get your honest opinions on these basses? Pro's and cons etc? Rough Prices? Im guessing around £2k... Cheers!
7. Just a quick note, it may help the sale if you answered the questions poised by the potential market - such as the headstock design etc. Perhaps some better pics are in order too? Im in the market for a 5 string Jazz but Im not keen on this one, however some better pictures would improve the sale. Just some friendly advice!
8. Really classy Alan, very workmanlike yet it smacks of "serious business" - very cool!
9. Ive never been lucky enough to meet any famous bassists, id love to meet Paul - love his playing and his sound, and love the Jamiroquai band! He sounds like a sound fella too. Higgie, didnt you have Paul at one of your gigs? If I saw a hero of mine in the crowd id instantly screw up for fear of another muso judging my bass playing! And I think i would wet my pants if I met Marcus Miller.
10. Splendid dear boy! Lots of toys for the day then, I think I could probably compete for the loudest rig at the bash with my 2.4 kW poweramp and epi UL310....
11. PM sent regarding the middle one...
12. Ill be there, probably going to hitch a ride with Ped so not sure whether or not I can squeeze my Epi UL310 and Rack with my BassPod XT Pro and QSC PLX2402 poweramp in it alongside my Warwicks. If I drive then ill bring: Warwick Streamer Stage One 4 String Warwick Streamer LX 5 String Epifani UL310 Rack with toys ....and if I get hold of a decent 5 string jazz bass, then ill bring that too!
13. I have heard nothing from a couple of the buyers who said they wanted the Jazz so its still available.
14. BUMP Both Basses still for sale as I have heard nothing from prospective buyers - willing to accept £300 for the Jazz and £300 for the Ibanez. Any Interest?
15. UPDATE: Ill accept offers around £350 for the Ibanez, any interest?
16. Truely fantastic collection there Fran, really like the Sadowsky's - only thing that would make them better IMO would be Pearl block inlays and binding...
17. Lovely Rig - I recently got a UL310 to replace my Hartke 410XL, and I dont regret it - cracking sound, weighs nothing and siunds twice its size! Only bummer is that it is rated at something like 5.3 Ohms - which means I cant run 2 of them!
18. PM Sent and deposit on its way!
19.
Hey Luke, the 410XL is great mate, going great guns. Paired with my 4.5XL it just roars
Nice one Pete, glad its serving you well mate - it never let me down! As for the Input jacks on the back of it, it doesnt matter AFAIK which ones you use to connect them with.
20. Ok Guys, no more swearing please - you are all entitled to your opinions and I am not disputing that, but please tone down the language. If you wish touse profanity or argue about number of strings etc etc, do it via PM to one another, not via a public forum. Please remember this is a family forum. This is not the "Basschat Bitching" forum, its the Bass Porn forum - so lets all play nicely, admire the fine instruments on show, and keep it civilised. Thank you!
21. Hi Guys, Sorry I havent been about - been rushed off my feet the last few days, roll on the weekend! This is the GWB35, and to update ill accept £375 all in for the bass. Would prefer to deliver/meet within reasonable distance as I do not have a spare case or gig bag for this to go in with, and I dont trust couriers! Jazz Sold pending payment.....
22. BUMP - Ibanez still available - any interest? Anyone who played this fretless at the last Bass Bash will know how good it is!
