1. And these great sounding little amps can be used just as a preamp or headphone / practice amp. + Roger is a top bloke to deal with
2. 'twas nice to meet up with Roger this evening and have a chat over a cappuccino. I just bought his PJB SFC and he agreed to meet halfway to avoid the stress of packaging and waiting in for couriers. Thanks Roger, you're a true gent!
3.
i would take some off the bridge where you said Pete, but the drilled hole still needs to be deep enough to take the full stem of the adjuster, or the top half of the bridge wont rest on the wheels
Agreed If you've got adjusters It's a lot easier to reduce the leg area than take some off the top.
4. Make sure the bridge feet are in full contact fully with the belly. If the bridge is at a slight angle output will be low.
5. Just had a pleasant drive out in the countryside to meet up with Jon and hand over a cab he bought from me. No probs easy transaction from start to finish Nice to meet you Jon, hope the cab makes you smile
6. It was great to meet Paul again when he came round to try my Yammy SLB200 this evening He's a real friendly guy and a great bassist and now the proud owner of a great EUB Looking forward to seeing you play it live soon Paul Cheers Keith

Identifying colours at the tailpiece: Red silking with black spiral to all strings , with a black solid band at the end. Black buttons and white felt pads. Personal review: Great all round string - the Obligatos are pretty versatile and suit bowing and pizzicato.
These are also great strings for Yamaha Silent basses and NS uprights.
8. Great idea Here's a link that may be helpful http://www.quinnviolins.com/qv_stringidsearch.shtml
9. Just sold Nils a Golden Bullet mic Fast payment & good comms Another great basschatter I'd be happy dealing with again
10. I'd say it's a DIY project bass It would be quite expensive for a luthier to remove the top and fix the bass bar It'd be a shame to scrap it
11. Hi Paul I know Sharon & Dan Ill give you a call Cheers Keith
12. There once was a bass Rickenbacker 'twas covered in chrome & some lacquer A guy named J Hall Tried to copy a Wal Then became a Basschat attacker
13.
Don't know if this helps but I've got a Wilson K4 on an EUB and it sounds great pizz., but not arco, as with many bridge transducers.
Just been experimenting and found that a good arco sound can be achieved by rotating each individual sensor to it's sweet spot It will take some time to balance them and it's too late in the day to go any further So far I'm impressed with the K4
14. Just sold Rory a pickup Nice chap, good comms and fast payment Hope it does the trick
15. Hi Paul, would it be possible to measure the neck as in this old thread i.e. the thinnest part of the neck at the scroll end cheers
16. I can hear him calling Dad, Daad, Daaaad!
17. Well we'll, he's always wanted one of those! Don't s'pose you'd want one of these? http://basschat.co.uk/topic/206249-matchless-c-30-reverb-matching-2-12/page__pid__2074001#entry2074001
18. Oh Chris, The Gibson is stunning but would be wasted on me. I've sent a link to my son who's a pro guitarist, he might be tempted 'best Keith
19. Tell the misses you're just looking after it for me, then when she want's it out of the way I'll come and collect it
20. Planet Wing pickup sold, Golden Bullet still available.
21.
Rather than look at a slightly chubby white-haired man playing an Eminence (me, not you Keith!) I'm sure the fourm would rather see the delightful Esperanza playing an Eminence! So here you go
Seeing that vid again makes me think I should keep it, but I can never quite get the hair right!
22. That's a great pic Clarky! I've got pic's of me playing it, but none as cool as that!
