8. Package from Thomann at home
9.
Maybe the visual is a factor but I would say...as much as I can use my lightweight class D and NEO's, .. there is just a 'factor' that transformer and ceramics add or just have. I want to like the lightweight thing but I've never really 'loved' any NEO cab I've gone thru... and it took me a while to come to that conclusion. I didn't set out to not like NEO, I just realised all the ones that I was passing on, were actually NEO. Once I'd formed this opinion, I did think Class D might follow the same pattern but all that did was stop me buying one until relatively recently. I'd used Markbass and a few others by this time and wasn't struck on them anyway. Once I had my latest big block amp, i then KNEW... IMO
I liked my LM3 but that was A/B. My Purple Chili Phat Bass was the best but didn't have the thump I've experiened with the Orange Rig
10. any more updates
11.
Nice one ... got me thinking about possibly doing the same in our band. I didn't think the guitar part on your vid was bass at first lol so I guess the otave poly thing actually works, but without it I'm also guessing it doesn't sound good ? ie just splitting the bass signal & sending one half to bass amp clean & other to guitar amp distorted without octave up will not sound good ?
I'm splitting the signal then sending the one to the guitar amp trhough the POG using Octave up only, so its put it into the guitar register. I theroy it would work without the POG but all you are doing then is overdriving the bass at its noraml register. Using the octave up puts it in guitar space, as I'm really trying to be a sort of rythym guitar an dfill out gaps in the sound
12.
I've been looking at fender twins and vibrolux combos
I've ordered a Hughes and Kettner Tubemeistewr 18 NOS and a G112 Harley Benton Cab a Celestion Vintage 30 in it
13. used this at more volume at practice. Very pleased with te sound. There is a certian heft an dweight to the notes that I've not had with any of my class D stuff. Its very vintagey, or least how I've set it up it is Sits in the mix well and just pumps out solid bass. OD and Fuzz work well but sound very different from my other set ups, in a good way. Liking leaving this with a bit of breakup and using the guitar rig to do the OD stuff.
14.
If you can come get it you can buy mine cheap.
Cheers Dude but having deleivered my AE210 to you it would be cheaper for me to just buy one! Ordered one with a Hughes and Kettner head.
15. The more I use this the more I love it!
16. Reduced to £700
17. Oooooo very nice and just over the way from where I work. Damn it!!!! Might have to contact them
18.
our guitarist has just bought the same rig, my christ it good!!!!! he is using it with a prs at 1 watt, sounds phenomenal, enjoy!
Cheers. Hoping it will be a bit more versatile than the Orange Tiny Terror I demoed
19.
Nice one ..... Post some clips when you can I'd really like to hear this biamp setup. I assume you're running the TM dirty on higher freqs ? So what's the setup ? From bass to amps ... and what sort of sound are you after ?
Yeah that's my plan. Signal is split, one going to my orange bass rig, the other into a pog. The octave up is then sent to the TM. I Used my guitarists line6 spider at practice today to prove the theory, it worked well. Going to use the TM dirty and dirtier to fill out songs and when we have solos. OD and verging fuzz is in my head!
20. Got my eye on something. Reduced to £700
21. Just ordered one of these http://hughes-and-kettner.com/products/tubemeister/anniversary-edition/ With a Thonann 112 vintage celestion cab Using it in my biamping rig with my bass
