1.
What sort of sound does this give? I like a slightly driven sound (ala SansAmp) and may be interested if this can do something close.
Well Mike designed the preamp to be SVT/Trace Ellioty so it can do what you want. From super clean to dirty, it's got it all
 2.
the line *out* is a female XLR... looks strange... :/ why is that ?
because thats what Mike had on the bench when he built it I have an adaptor to convert it
 3. 4. Hardwire CM2 is a good cheap option to start. Great sleeper of a pedal. I'm selling mine but only because I need to thin out my pedals!
 5.
Aha a new sp212 cab at the same price as the old one-interesting.
Think that's the new OBC212
 6. Drunken christmas eve purchase! Used twice at home and thats it. Comes with all the candy. Great pedal, well loved everywhere but surplus to my requirements. Info on Tech21 website and reviews everywhere. Ampeg in a box with the ability to do a dual rig with the blend. Looking for £170 posted in the UK
 7. Sold subject to the usual
 8.
I put my money on a Wren & Cuff Phat Phuk B. It fits right into your description! Used it for quite some time now and it's always on. Makes everything sound better imo
This.
 9. My xl60 was great and surprisingly loud with a lot of functionally
 10.
Why 24" and not flat? I guess it's a marketing thing (big is better, but avoid infinite (or zero)). Just calculated the centre of the board is less than 1mm higher than the edge.
Because I didn't want to go straight to flat being used to a fender p bass. I should have! The 24" just felt really comfortable and Mike put it on the Telebass more by accident but its comfortable. The asymetric neck and flat board work really well
 11. Aquired this recently in a trade with Kev. Probably the best Green Muff Clone out there. It holds the bottom end beatifully and breaks up sweetly. Details are on the Wren and Cuff website. Preferred this to the Box of War I had, there is just something about these that make THE bess muff fuzz IMO. Just need to create some money and reduce my pedal hoards! No box but its in great condition with velco on the bottom. Will get pics up later. Looking for £110 posted in the UK
 12.
I found the asymmetric neck and flat fingerboard immediately comfortable and very playable.
Me too as was the 24" radius (near flat) on my graft acg and custom telebass made by mike Walsh
 13. I do Like a B15 type sound and have been after a motown vibe so will check that out. I remember mightily enjoying the SVT setting on my v1
 14. Got this last month. A quirky take on a Bass Players needs. Comp/Limiter, Amp Generator and Fuzz in a brightly coloured box. Doesn't take up a lot of real estate. I have since got a a VT Bass DI and this is surplus to my needs now. I got it as a one box solution, which it is but I need to raise some cash. Comp does a great job and the Amp generator nails the tube vibe and goes from hair to all out grit and OD and the Fuzz is a great gated one that interacts well with the Amp Generator. Nifty review here and info is on the Analog Alien Website. Plenty of youtube vids too. Comes with all the Analog Alien Candy, a USA Onespot and I'll throw in the US/UK convertor plug I bought. Will get pics up soon I'm now reducing this to £200
 15.
Having a great deal of fun with this. Like the individual effects as good as anything I have tried. Only downside is my iPad mini is really struggling to run it. The more interesting sequence relate patches are clicking most if the time and it does hang up. Not a criticism of the app more an observation on what you need to run it. Would be great on my iMac into digital performer, hint hint.
Damn it Alan, I'm going to have to down load It now!
 16. Cheers Guys. Will check that out
